This week I have been working on a sketch for a watercolor painting I am doing, of a leopard. I combined two seperate photos to get the image I wanted to paint, using one for the background and one for the leopards. I'm still working on the placement of the leopard sint he scene, and will use tracing and transfer paper to place the leopards where I want them once I have them drawn. I have a seperate leopard drawing I started  a while back, and in between working on my current watercolor, I may also spend time on my older one. I'm thinking maybe I'll spend most my time at home on the older one though. Watercolor has never been successful for me, so I chose it in hopes of learning how to manage the media. I've done online searches for examples and steps of where to start and finish my piece, and have studied and printed some off for reference. There was even a watercolor at a vets I went to that was of a dog in the look I wanted for my watercolor, so I took a picture of it to print and use too. I think I have earned a 87, as I have done as much work in class as possible with the time available. I did start to get frustrated with the sketch of the leopards, but I managed to keep it going. I am hoping to finish the drawing by the end of next class, and possibly begin the base washes. (or whatever it's called lol)
