This isn't a charity appeal.

And this isn't a call to do something to help anyone.

What I'm talking about is radio.

They play such shite music, 24/7. I have to listen to radio one at work because that's the only station we can get in the kitchen.

They've played about six good songs on radio one ever that I have heard. Ever.

I think this is sad, replaying the same dismal songs over and over.  The radio plays like 300 songs on shuffle. Each song more familiar and predicable than the last. Sad, really, that there are so many good songs and bands that don't get the airtime they deserve, or the record sales. I just think its sad that people preoccupy themselfs with commercialist horseshit like Calvin Harris and The Black Eyed Peas.

So if you do one thing today, shut the door, crank up the volume and appriciate a very uncommerical band - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-apRCG2Nffc&feature=related

Wow, a real old fashioned garage-type band!  I watched Bodies, Mother, and a couple others, one with Metallica (who I love).  They're really good, and so different than what I hear on the radio.  Real instruments, real voices....good stuff.

    Thanks.

I met this guy from work, and we're both true metal AND punk fans. Shocking, but when we looked at each other's CD collections I noticed that we only had about 5 or 6 bands in common (there is a lot of rock out there).

The band is named after the singer Glenn Danzig, who is the original singer from the Misfits (if you haven't heard them they're worth a listen, Saturday Night and Scream are two of my faves), who, in my opinion, is better suited to Danzig than the Misfits.

He can fucking rock though, his voice is amazing, eh?!

I was just reading up on Glenn Danzig, and this is the band that evolved into Danzig, so its a lot more punk and garagey http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DKc0WnNxvpE&feature=PlayList&p=78FA690CFD5BE04E&index=0&playnext=1

Yeah, good stuff there.  Thanks for the break in the middle of a monotonous music spree.

Wow!  Not heard from Danzig in ages!!  He took over from Bruce Dickinson for a while you know when he left but, unfortunately, he didn't quite get on with the other band members, didn't gel really so it didn't last long.  Mind you, anyone's a fool to think they can stand in Bruce's shoes lol!

I'm 42 but, when I walk through shops and they have some punk music playing I find it very hard to walk normal ha ha!  There'll be a punk in me till the day I die :-)

Puss - awesome! I didn't know that. But to be fair I was born in '86. I should know that, really, having all the iron maiden albums. Yup, all 22. Love it! I think you should get a radical hair cut (die it bright blue and shave half of it off) and a load of piercings :D
