So Rush Limbaugh was pretty much thrown out of the running of people set to purchase a share of the Rams NFL team. He was approached, he stated his interest and was told any controversy was all ready handled and wouldn't be a problem.
UNTIL.......(cue Darth Vader music)
The liberals namely Al Sharpten and Jesse Jackson and a few others started a smear campaign and was successful in putting the breaks on any chance of Rush buying a share in an NFL team.
Al and Jesse? These people have made profoundly racist statements that if anyone on the right made their careers would be over, and they spread unsubstantiated false rumors alluding to the myth that Rush is a racist. Is this Obama's America? A true hope and change person who is a transcending figure would publicly denounce this.
Plus it is hilariously stupid of the NFL to allow this to happen. An NFL team for sale and someone with a following of millions of people worldwide wants to buy a share. The people that love Rush will follow the Rams to see them be successful. The people that hate Rush will follow the Rams to see them get creamed. Duh! It is a win/win situation.
Does it make any logical sense for the NFL to allow the Michael Vicks of the world to come back into the sport but refuse a successful public figure because he is a conservative? I wonder how many people are going to just say "fuck the NFL!"
