I am still trying to figure out what to do. I really don't know. Last night, I talked to my family and some friends, but just feel so unsure. I watched television to keep my mind off of it.

I am looking online for alternative and what happen to anyone who has a hysterectomy. I hope that I will have an answer soon.

I don't know if this helps, but I had a friend who had a hysterectomy several years ago.  She recovered from the surgery in a couple of weeks or so.  The biggest adjustment for her was menopause symptoms that she hadn't experienced before.

She had already come to terms with not having children.

If you should need that surgery to get your health back, maybe it's something to think about.  Adoption is always an option if/when you want a family.

    My thoughts are with you.

Well, in reference to having the hystorectomy, my mom had a total hys. when she was 20 something.  She recovered fairly quickly and adjusted fairly well to the early menopause sensations as well.  As CW said, adoption is certainly always an option.  Further, I don't know if giving birth or just having your own child is a particularly large issue for you, but maybe you could have some of your own eggs removed and stored, if that's an option for you.  I know it's terribly expensive though, but it's a thought.  I'll be keeping you in my thoughts.

I was looking at what I could find about Hysterectomies...

Sort of a grim idea if you ask me...

Are you facing a partial or a full?

Is this for life threatening situation, or doctor recommended?

I was reading around and it seems that there are lots of these surgeries performed that are unneeded and unwarranted.

I know if I had a doctor aiming to remove my fun parts, I would want at the very least want a second opinion.  If I was in your boots, I would take this slow, and objectively.

Hopefully you find this morning greeting you with a smile.

If this is b/c of fibroids try to get a second opinion and exhaust every ave of treatment before you part with your womb. As this is so final. Or if you opt to have the hysto you can have your eggs frozen before the procedure so that kids are not a dream when and if you find Mr right or you feel the time is right for you to be a mother with or without a male participant(Don't be octo mom though).

Whatever you decide good luck honey.

I thought about that, but it is finding someone to carry. I don't know. It is a big decision.
