Jesus has alot to say here about true and false Christians.
Matthew 7:13-29
Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat:
Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.
Jesus says that few people actually enter into eternal life. However there are billions of so called proffessing Christians.Right after saying this he goes on to warn about the false. The Lord says ...check the fruit of those who profess to know me...do they live is habitual sin....NOT MINE.
Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.
Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles?
Then he says...a good tree CANNOT PRODUCE CORRUPT FRUIT.... what part of cannot do you guys not understand....hmmmm.....on the other hand a corrupt tree does produce corrupt fruit.
Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit.
A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit.
Next Jesus says that a tree in him that does not produce good fruit is hewn down and thrown in the fire....is this contradictory or does it maybey mean that THOSE WHO CLAIM TO BE IN HIM BUT PRODUCE BAD FRUIT ARE CAST INTO THE FIRE, BECAUSE NEXT JESUS SAYS examine the fruit!
Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire.
Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them.
Moving on he then says that those who say Lord lord and profess to know him and even clAIM miracles in his name(and yes Satan can fake miracles and perform false ones. Shamans can heal the sick and so can many other false religions)he says to them I NEVER KNEW YOU ....he does not say notice...I once knew you but now I do not...no they were never his in the first place. They do many wonderful works...well this really blows the works theory!
Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.
Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?
Moving on once again....those who hear his words but do not do them...hmmmm....Alot of so called Christian hear the truth over and over again but alas they perfer the doctrines of men to the word of God and sink in the quicksand.....no eternal security for them it seems. The Christian who builds his life on the rock....Jesus.... are secure ...even in the midst of the storm...
Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock:
And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock.
And every one that heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them not, shall be likened unto a foolish man, which built his house upon the sand:
And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell: and great was the fall of it.
After Jesus gave this sermon the crowd was amazed
and astonished at his doctrine.....Those is Christ are eternally secure and those who clAIM to know Christ but do not really and produce corrupt fruit will sink into the sand because guess what.....the Lord does not have a relationship with them....they are not born of his holy Spirit. They are false Christians,Apostates,pretenders,hypocrites.
And it came to pass, when Jesus had ended these sayings, the people were astonished at his doctrine:

Every branch in me that beareth not fruit he taketh away: and every branch that beareth fruit, he purgeth it, that it may bring forth more fruit.
Now ye are clean through the word which I have spoken unto you.

I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.
