International cooperation : between Israel, the US and Japan has produced a battery that will have long shelf-line, give thousands of hours of electric power and be environmentally safe.

And it was the cooperation of just three scientists, without all the funding that others get for much less acheivement.

Let us all hope and pray that the big corporations can't prevent this breakthrough. If you don't know-- they have prevented many discoveries from coming to market. I know this not only from reading but from the life of an uncle who invented things in the 1950's which we still don't have today. And of course cancer cures have been suppressed. (google Kevin Trudeau) because they would put the oncology industry out of work, just as the Salk vaccine ended the Polio Industry in the 1950's.

Our planet is on the brink--either we grow mentally, morally and technologically, or we will have the problems that we as a planetary society have set up for ourselves down on our heads pretty shortly. And I am not talking about 'global warming' and such stupidity as measuring the gas expelled from cows. Give me a break! I am talking about rebelling against the Creator and trashing His Creation. Adam, the first man of our stature (there were pre-Adamic humans) who was given a greater mental potential, was told that he would be the guardian of the earth and its creatures. . But our ancestors screwed up in their way and we are scewing up in our way.

While hundreds of millions go to sleep hungry every night, a certain corporation is making seeds an expensive proposition ---something that caused tens of thousands of farmers in India to have committed suicide-- because they cannot afford seed --the genetically engineered seeds take over and they do not reproduce and the farmer has to purchase them every season instead of using his own crops for seed! This and other corporations don't believe that there is a heavenly court that will judge them when the time comes. In Jewish tradition, we know that people are judged in times of danger--ie if you are speeding on the highway and putting yourself in danger your case comes up in the Heavenly Court. Also, when someone cries because of our actions the cases go upstairs-- and there are plenty of tears being shed by hungry children all over the globe.

When school boards decide to send a six year old to reform school for bringing a cub scout utensil to school (to use at lunch) they are not behaving as intelligent humans but as a group of sad little programmed monkies who cannot discriminate between intended and non intended actions. This --according to Paiget is the level of pre-concrete logic-- a level of understanding that you ordinarily expect from a pre-school child, a dog, cat, parrot or chimpanzee. (google Paiget) School boards should be people who have good ideas and the morality to put these ideas in motion--about every child being able to read, to understand the news, to calculate arithmatic so as to make a budget, to understand right and wrong and intentional and non intentional actions and results, the workings of nature etc.

Many societies have memories of great catastrophies that happened and those who were saved from the general mess. There are what are called Ages of the World, and it seems that they come around on the cosmic clock. A society that is not in tune with the Creator's will, which is immoral, which does not search for truth, that acts like a hungry shark, that society gets called up on the Heavenly Court Calendar when the time comes up on the clock. Our ancestor Noah was saved in such a period because he had a sense of right and wrong and because he had a level of compassion for people and animals (some say not enough or he would have been running around warning people as did the later prophets). Whether it will be WWIII or a tzunami or a hurricane or a mudslide or 2012-- money will not save (even the money to get to Mars or the Moon for they will be in the same place on the clock). Morality (google the Seven Noahide Laws, the Seven Laws of Noah, Noahide Congregations etc) and kindness can save. Cooperation (as in the battery invented) to do good can save. Waking up to being on the level of Adam--that is the answer.
