You have to admit, there is a lot of truth stretching these days. There is also a lot of omission of truth, as well, by the news media. It is kind of like interpreting statistics. You can prove just about anything you want if you only present the results that support your claims. For some reason, Al Gwhore comes to mind.
The Obama Administration and most liberals hate the FOX News network because they do what most journalists used to do -- they try to report the whole story. They are sceptical of whoever is in charge. That is what our news media should be doing. The news media has been called our fourth branch of government, but that is absolutely not true anymore. You would have to be blind and deaf not to know that.
In my thinking, the news media should be treating every president and his administration the way they treat Republicans. They should be our watch dogs. They should be questioning everything they do ... like they do Republicans. There is so much about Obama that the liberal news media ignored, it is almost comical. You just keep asking yourself "can this really be happening, can they be this biased, really?"
bloc says "The idea that [FOX News] is honest and tells the whole story is absurd." It is only absurd to someone who has lost sight of what the truth really is. Maybe some of you are too young to know truth when you see and hear it.
Democrats have been lying and cheating for decades now, probably since before some of you were born. Drunken liberals like Ted Kennedy and morally bankrupt homos like Barney Franks have been screwing this country up for years, all the while being treated like gods by the biased media.
FOX News critics may be confusing the news on FOX with the Hannity show and the O'Reilly show. Those shows discuss conservative viewpoints, but they are probably less blatantly conservative than the regular news is blatantly liberal on just about every other news network. Other networks have their blatantly liberal shows like Jon Stewart's and Stephen Colbert's. You only have to watch CNN or MSNBC for a few minutes to see and hear totally absurd liberal bias on EVERYTHING.
As far as I am concerned, FOX never has to report the liberal side of things. They bring balance simply by reporting the conservative view, which you can usually only hear on conservative radio shows. Oh, you might hear a little more of the other side now that liberal news networks are being criticized and some light is being shined on it all, but that is definitely not the norm.
Liberals seem to be afraid of the truth like vampires are afraid of the light. Think back to Bill Clinton. He looked America square in the eyes and told a whopper. OK, it was about a blowjob or two, but that says a lot about the guy as well. Why is the president of the United States getting a blowjob in the Oval Office? Think about it.
The healthcare legislation is a perfect example. Democrats / Socialists / liberals want to pass something that no one has time to read, in the middle of the night because they think they know what is best for everyone. We are so stupid, in their eyes, that they think their lying is justified in order to get us where they think we need to go ... toward more government control and even more into a state of Socialism. That would be truth (that they are doing what is best for us) only if higher taxes, higher insurance premiums, Medicare cuts, and rationing of services was better for everyone. Republicans have pointed out actions that can be taken that will not cause all that, but no one is reporting on that, except maybe FOX News.
The fact that liberals like bloc cannot see all that further proves to me that they do not know what is or is not absurd. Chris Mathews said something to the effect that he wished Limbaugh's head would blow up. Let me know the next time you hear something that irrational on the FOX News network. If you ask me, Mathew's head has already blown up, or at least his brain. Keith Olbermann does not have a brain to blow up as far as I can tell.
