Thus far, blogging appears to be somewhat amusing.  There are lots of hi-caliber minds that do this to pass time as well as involve themselves in discussions of various topic.  You have some who prefer to share everyday experiences and/or use it as a means of anonymous socialization.  And then there are those who are self-proclaimed geniuses that ironically prefer to use it as a haven for their alter-egos.  These can be those who take the same IQ test until they eventually score perfect in their own minds while taking comfort in such non-disclosure of potential passive/aggressive traits.

As for myself, I enjoy writing and having discussions with those who both agree and disagree.  Those who completely agree, I find to be refreshing, while appreciating those who don't concern themselves with what's politically correct.  The folks that somewhat disagree are respectable, being that they have the potential to point one in the areas where that person may be ignorant.  Simply put, one can be on the right track, right train, right car, but be in the wrong seat.  What I mean is that not all is lost by losing the debate and standing corrected when the proper attitude allows one to gain credible knowledge.  And those who flat-out disagree with one-another will (9 times out of 10) waste space on moot points.  They'll stubbornly attack one another's views solely resulting in entertainment to other bloggers while raising their blood pressure.

People who are all about cyber-mingling can be worth reading and returning feedback.  One may not know it, but there are many  who are reaching out for help and support for life's endless array of trials and tribulations.  Something that was posted just may be a missing puzzle piece in whatever the query may be.

Now, the ones who use blogs in the same manner as a middle-school cafeteria are interesting indeed.  They basically inflate and reassure one-another's self images and opinions through one-sided simplistic perceptions.  Their knowledge can be based on facts (But in many instances), they'll only adhere to half-truths that match their preferred agenda.  They'll respect the next guy's opinion, as long as it reflects theirs.  Some people build their opinions around facts, while these guys are sometimes capable of building facts around their opinions.

And at the same time, when these folks are engaged in a debate, they have a tendancy to sling personal attacks when they become offended at the idea that a nettlesome fact may have been placed in the front of their minds.  Despite credible information, whether it's historically accurate and/or researched data or stats, they're forced to succumb to agitation by being redundant in their comments.  On many accounts, they'll make obnoxious comments while feeling secure in the idea that they're virtually unidentifiable.  This tends to make one mindful of the fraille, old man behind the curtains on The Wizard Of Oz.

But any-hoo, I'll participate in discussions with just about anyone, but I won't personally ridicule anyone's blog.  I will only write in this manner on my blogs that also will not take aim at another blogger.  But nevertheless, I will make sport of of issues that warrant such, especially when it has been agreed as such from folks on both sides of the debate, whether it is social or political.  Once it has become revealed that having a civilized discussion has become like un-frying an egg, I'll call it a moot point and go about my business.

And as for the party extremes whose philosophy is "Go along and get along", I have more time to blog about bizzare dreams and bathroom habits than entertain the thought of bar-room bickering over anything within their sandbox.  Therefore, they will be blocked and I'll be fair enough to pretend to be blocked by them as well.
