We love to talk about fashion and beauty trends at The Thread but
here's something a little different. We found out about a slew
of chic, high-tech accessories coming on the market (ex. a ring
that turns into a wireless headset, James Bond-style) and we had to
share them with you immediately!
I'm not usually happy unless I'm doing two or three things
at once. So these accessories really appeal to my multi-tasking
sensibility-- and hopefully, yours.
Calvin Klein's USB Memory Frames look like a sleek pair of
Calvin
Klein sunglasses. They are, but they're also more than
that. Hidden in the right arm of the sunglasses is a 4GB USB which
you can use to transport data, images, music. . .
anything. They'll cost $200 when they hit store shelves
later this month.
Vivienne Tam and HP
have a new "digital clutch"-- you carry it like a clutch
but it's actually a laptop! The gorgeous butterfly design on
the laptop's casing compliments the patterns in Tam's
Spring line. This netbook is a follow-up to Tam's
incredibly popular red floral-patterned netbook that came out last
year. The new clutches will be available with Tam's 2010 Spring
Collection.
Here's something straight out of The Jetsons: The O.R.B. It's a wireless
earpiece for your cell phone that doubles as a ring. You twist it
open and it transforms into a Bluetooth headset for hands-free
calling. How cool is that? It hits the market in January at
$129.
Samsung new digital camera, the
TL225, solves the problem of getting only half your face in a
self-portrait. There's a LCD display on the back AND on the
front, so you can snap yourself and your friends and actually see
whether you're in the shot or not. And it comes in purple— the
hot color of the season. The camera retails for $349.99
If you've stopped wearing a watch because you always have your
cell phone to tell you what time it is, here's something for
you: a cell phone you can wear on your wrist. The W PhoneWatch is
the world's smallest cell phone with a touch screen, a camera
and a Bluetooth headset. The Kempler & Strauss W PhoneWatch
is $199.
