Eyes open this morning. I want to shut them.
to keep out the light and let the day pass me by.
I don't want to be part of the world today
rather just a passenger as the earth makes it's
spin this time. Time won't allow for
that..not today at least. I move slowly
and deliberately, no wasted movement
no wasted energy for I have none to
spear. I will reach my destination
only to be told I have to relive it all
again tomorrow. Perhaps the
future will hold a better path
but for today, it is the path well
worn rather than the path
less traveled.
