I have a very large favor to ask. This comes from the heart, so it's a heart to heart conversation. Although the favor is big it is easy for me to ask and it will be easy for you to agree to help. I know this because I was asked and I gladly accepted when I saw how my small effort would help many who needed my assistance.


A short build up before I ask the big fave so you will know where I'm coming from and why this is so important to me and to you. You may have noticed in your community a lot of folks this year losing their homes. Families have experienced job loss of one or more income earners. Nowadays it seems both husband and wife are needing full time income.


So what has happened, the saddening results hit hardest on the innocent that cannot make any effort on their own to help relieve the situation. Our pets end up in animal rescue shelters. Families lose their homes, end up moving [ to an apartment ] someplace where the family pet no longer fits in. Either abandoned or voluntarily dropped off at the shelter that has now become over burdened with dogs [mostly] and cats that are unwanted.


The situation is compounded with municipal funding shortfalls, budget cuts and donations that once used to be a supplemental portion to cover the operational costs the shelters needed.


And here is where you get to help. Sit down, I don't need your money. You can do much more for us in our community and you can organize a similar rally in your community too. This is easier, much easier and mailing a check. What we need you to do to participate will take all of 10 minutes to download The Bar to your computer. Please read, this is a serious request and completely legit. You will likely share this with many to help your community, church, school programs, etc.

I also love our dog and hate to see good pets get the short end of the deal but sometimes things happen we don't seem to be able to control.
