Well as of this morning all is calm on the home front.  No epic event occurred last night involving my dad.  He came home sicker than a dog from drinking the tequila and nothing more came of it.  So that was a definite plus.  He's still crashed out this morning.

I tell you, I need to make it a habit of waking up before my husband EVERY weekend, or every day that we're both home (he works earlier than I do so he's up and out the door before my alarms even go off through the week).  For about the last month I've been trying to do this, and it works out great.  It gives me enough time to get my computer fix in, get whatever else done I need to and be basically ready to go.  See, usually on the weekends once he's up, he eats, watches a little TV and is ready to get out the door.  Now that I'm waking up earlier than him, instead of with him, I've got plenty of time.

I saw the cutest thing this morning and I wish so badly I had a camera better than just my phone.  All but three of the horses are laying down, taking a nap.  It is SO cute.  I know, you wouldn't think large animals could manage to be cute just by lying down, but they are!  My horse tucks herself in all cute, it's just adorable.  Every time I see her laying down it reminds me of the couple of times I happened out into the pasture while she was already down and she'd let me sit by her or on her and she didn't flinch.

Yes, I do know that can be a dangerous thing to do, but sometimes you just can't help it.  The first time it happened I wandered out into the pasture because I was upset, since my husband and I had had a HUGE fight, and I just put my head on her belly and started crying, and the most movement she made was to but her big head on top of my back.  Yup, a hug.  That shows me a good strong bond.  That or a huge amount of luck and coincidence.  I choose the former.

I'm also excited this morning because the other horses are leaving.  I really haven't had a problem with them, beyond the fact that I can't really get out in the pasture and do anything with my horse, but I can't wait to open her stall up for her and prep it and see her using it again.  I'm sure she's missing it, what with not being able to get in there to get out of the weather.  I couldn't leave it open with all of the horses in there because then they'd ALL try to get in there and completely mess it up, back to the point where it was when the cattle was in there and it really wasn't good for my horse to be in there (too messy, bad for her feet, couldn't hardly clean it, etc.).  Also, I don't want them all trying to crowd in there and getting into a fight.

Ah well, anyway, time to get on with the day.  Time to find some breakfast!
