  On your blogg I also made reference to a " negative " experience that a friend of mine had and told me about it. Very deep...but also a brilliant and strong testimony to God and His power.
  Again...as I may have stated before...I haven't got a clue as to the meanings. My wife is into this also but sometimes we have trouble communicating properly these experiences. There are some more experiences that I'd like to discuss/share but only if you're up to it.

  RollingC, I'm wondering why you do not feel that this is you tapping into your own 6th sense?
  As humans have evolved we have not only learnt more things, but we have lost many originals survival skills that we once had.
  With the mutation of language we began to loose the gift of telepathy, in other areas of the world these skills have been retained bacause certain cultures until the last 50 years or so have been untouched by modern society and all it's stresses and strains.
  What you experience was normal for native americans and aboriginals, many people have that ability, but because of the normal pressures of everyday life, we are unable to focus long enough to bring them into our consciousness.
  Jung also spoke of our shadow, our unconscious thoughts and feelings, could this shadow hold the key to a lost sense?
  Is it now about time that mankind realised his own powers, powers that have been stripped by society's?
  As they say The power is within you it has been demonstrated many times to you, now all you need is to believe in that power and embrace it and it will continue to serve you well, if you question it, I guarentee it will start to fade away.

  Agreed that the power is within us..It's even mentioned in the Bible...all you have to do is read a bit between the lines and you'll see. When Jesus said about the mustard seed and faith that could move mountains.
  But applying it on a day to day basis? is something that I don't understand yet. And yes...I remember telepathy. Something else I don't understand but I've had brushes with.
  Since I've been allowing (all these years) other opinions to more or less guide my thinking so to speak...for instance..back in the hippie days with all the pot smoking...used to get together with my brother a lot to smoke...and a couple of times I'd read his mind...don't ask me how (I don't know) but I'd answer his question before he asked it as I " Knew " what he was going to say. - couple of times he was looking for something and as soon as I " looked " at him I knew where whatever (I didn't know either) he was looking for was...and I'd direct him towards it without lifting my glance from the book that I was reading...
  He used to freak out whenever I did that to him and get mad at me...so I stopped doing it....and now that and other experiences that I've had are buried in my mind without knowledge of how to jumpstart that " sense " again.

  Well, I know from experience that drugs can enhance the process temporarily.
  Magic mushrooms, used to take me into another dimension, and I too had the experience of reading minds.
  Sadly though drugs have other side effects that hinder the spiritual process if used long term, so I'm definately not advocating them.
  I do have these experiences now, but when I least expect them, suddenly I will pick up something and realise it's happening again. I find now in my work, my sense comes in very handy. I am a midwife and when woman are in labour it seems my sense's become finely tuned.
  Maybe you need to ground your skills, by doing something practical that either involves people or animals.

  Where's aeschylus? This is interesting stuff. I don't mean to diminish the significance here but I was suddenly reminded of the Wizard of Oz. Look behind the curtain! In the fifth Harry Potter book there is a black-curtained frame where once you pass through you never return. Did Rowling get her idea from that dream concept?
  
  It's kind of creepy to imagine seeing that and sensing what you sensed. On the other hand, there may be nothing to fear but the unknown.
  
  I think I like your view of the curtained window better than a Holy Quartet.
  
  With regards to telepathy and your brother, the Japanese have an expression called inshin denshin that refers to an unspoken understanding of thoughts or ideas between two people who are close (relationship wise) to each other. I am getting around to my post about my ex-girlfriend. But it will be a three-part story and weird stuff doesn't come until the third part.

  Hotaka: - Thank you for the comment you made. And yes it sounds creepy but there's no feeling of " danger " for me at all in any of my experiences. Just that " someone " is watching and keeping an eye on me, even protecting me.
  The only conclusion that I can make is that our loved ones on the other side (the ones that have passed on) are watching us. How? I haven't got a clue.
  I've got to start cramming for an exam next week but I'll find time to write down some more experiences and maybe give you a better pic/Idea of me.
  I saw your pics of the mountains and it was wonderfull.
  
  The telepathy thing is something that I sometimes " feel " and it's not a willful occurrence...in other words I can't control it...it either happens or not, mostly with family but not always...the significant ones are with family.
  I found my journal and the memories that are in it go all the way back to my early childhood when it started....but strangely enough the instances are only a bit more than a handful of times...until my father died...then the avalanche started.

  Thanks for the comment...no I haven't experienced to the extent that they have but it doesn't diminish the things that I have experienced. The white light that I've seen/felt/experienced has been like being transported into a ...mmmm....canvas? or screen and it seems like I'm there next to having the experience. It's happened very few times in my life and in the blink of an eye, which surprises me even more.

  hello RollingC... i am supposed to be in hibernation but when i read your post i thought i should reply... sorry if this is kinda late but i had been busy and there was a super storm here and no lights, no internet, no phone lines... and something happened to me that really took up a lot of my time...
  
  anyway, as i told you before, the mind can do a lot of things that we don't utilize... extra sensory perception is the closest description i can give you (in layman's terms)... i always had that "somebody's watching me" feeling since i was a child... i later on started to talk to them... which others find creepy, of course, so i keep it to myself... but i call them my spirit guides... others would call them guardian angels... they gave me so much knowledge and wisdom that i myself can't have on my own... they guided me in the most difficult of times... they led me to the God i talked about in this time of my life... they showed me the way...
  
  anyway, i enjoyed reading this post... i learned a lot from you and hotaka... facts and devices i can use for the story i am writing like the black-curtained frame and "inshin denshin"... :-)

  Sorry to have neglected stopping by. Seems I can't keep up with enough these days, and I'm tiring faster too which irritates me. Hopefully I've found a software that will track the new posts better and is compatible with my text to speech software. Hurdles slowly get resolved.
  
  As for the black square ... wow! A good way to explain it, and yes, it is real but I've never heard it described these ways before. It's always hard to assign words/descriptions to things that are not tangible and there is no frame of reference.
  
  Also, when seeing these things, the person can only usually perceive things that are within their ability to perceive. Someone who has never seen a machine, much less an airplane, would identify it as a noisy and very scary bird perhaps? Its a very good reason to want to reach out and expand (and accept) our perceptions.
  
  The black square is true, and the "veil" description is true. There is also the image of the 12 ancients who stand guard in the circle. I actually never saw that, but for some reason I know absolutely that it is right there, just out of my vision. Apparently I don't need to "see" it, as I already accept it.
  
  I'm hoping that as I get back to work on my project I can post some of the portions that will end up in my final(s). But I'm delighted to see that others are so connected to a space that some feel threatened by.

  Thank you for commenting and it's appreciated. The experiences are kind of rare nowadays although I still get them from time to time but much fainter. When the avalanche hit me back then I really wasn't ready and it was very worrisome for me...especially with all the negative feedback that I got at the time. I was actually very happy back then to find the reference to that black square in the public library under Carl Jung. In those few short months I got more experiences than all my lifetime put together and it's still amazing. I remember asking for leniency as I was worried although I wasn't asking for complete abstinence of such experiences...just slow down please God because I'm getting kind of nervous about it and it happened. Things have slowed down and back to normal but I still "get" some messages/visions now and then far in between.
  Now that I've gotten more comfortable with the idea of this I think I can handle it better if it starts hot and heavy again...I'll just leave it up to God and let Him decide.
  
  I'll write down some more of those "memories" as its more like a "release" for me to express them and have people comment on them even if their beliefs are different than mine.

  Don't worry about the fact that they've eased up; they haven't gone away.
  
  I will warn you that each time they surface "hot and heavy" it will never be easy. I've been dealing with it most of my life, particularly in the past 30 years or so. Find someone to help you stay grounded and in touch, so to speak, when it happens. None of us, even the most experienced, can deal with it alone. It's just that those of us who are older know how to go about planning for, preparing, and having protections in place (most of the time).
  
  I once had an astrologist tell me to watch the planetary cycles and patterns in your life because the magnetic pull of the planets can influence how receptive you are. She was right, and I learned enough to "dodge and duck" at times; in essence, waiting for the energy to pass over me if I couldn't deal with it.
  
  I'm so glad your learning so much!!! Keep talking to everyone who is receptive and find people you connect with and you will do just fine. Just be careful of the phonies and be very cautious to always keep your own psyche safe.
