I had been busy all week. Working, moving house, beating up the neighbours and could have done with a rest. A sleep, a few drinks and just sitting on my ass doing nothing.
Then I realised, what I was thinking and who I would miss. So I got dressed and called her. I always get butterflies when I bring her name up on my mobile "Hot Vet"
We hadn't seen each other since our first date. We had talked on the phone and texted each other constantly. I have never used my mobile so much in my life. Even princess rolls her eyes as my txt tone or ring tone sounds "Not again daddy." I can hear the smile in her voice as she answers. For some unknown reason I have taken to answering the phone to her in a very loud posh english accent "HELLLLLLLOOOOOOO!" for some reason she now does the same. You'll be pleased to hear that my speech disfunction has now gone and I do indeeed speak to her without slobbering, or just staring like a slack jawed hil billy. She was going to meet me there. Now I was truely nerveous. Not of meeting her, but for what we were about to do.
I thought the dirt road would never end....the trees finally thinned out to open fields. I could see some buildings and pulled up next to her car. What I thought was just a big shed, turned out to be a stable. She came over to say hi. It was like the last week or so had not exsisted. I cupped her face in my hands and gave her a long gentle kiss.
"Ready to ride?" she asked. I grinned from ear to ear. "Nerveous much?" I just shook my head and kept grinning. (More about the grinning later in another post *giggles*) She walked me round the corner and there were 2 of the biggest frigging horses I had ever seen. All saddled up and ready to go. I had this huge grey monster called Corona. He looked down his nose at me and snorted his arrogance at me. I held out my hand when prompted and had to wait ages for Corona to take any notice. I put my hand in my pocket "I bought sugar lumps" I went to show my Hot Vet but Corona made sure she never got to look. Then for good messure he turned pushing me backwards. I'm sure he did it on purpose, either that or he wanted to show where the sun shone from. I then recieved my 10 minute how to. I had to lead Corona back and forth for a little while then I heard the words I was dreading. "Lets go" Third time lucky on the mounting. Corona thought it was funny to move sideways and away from me just as I tried to hop on. He laughed everytime. Hot Vet thought I was being silly and that it was somehow my fault. I knew better and so did Corona. Hot Vet lead Corona around as I sat uncomfortably on him. I felt like there was nothing to hold onto. Corona kept giving me sideways glances as Hot Vet got me to take the reigns and showed me stop, left and right and how to get Corona to go. She jumped up on her horse Buster.
She rode up to me. Corona decided he needed to stretch his legs. I still don't know how I hung on. If it wasn't for the fence I'm sure he would still be running. Though Hot Vet called it trotting. Slowly I got the hang of it. We rode side by side through the rain forrest. Along well trodden horse trails. Again the talking and the laughter never stopped. The laugthter almost always at my expence caused by a horse I was quickly beginning to dislike. Corona decided I needed to get off. Despite his best efforts I landed on my feet. So he moved sideways and knocked me on my ass for good messure. "Stop being nasty Corona" Hot Vet said laughing. "Oh...you finally realised it's his fault" She lead Corona over to me. I could see the laughter in his eyes. He snorted "Not so tough now are ya" I'm sure that's what the snort meant. Hot Vet hopped down from her horse and handed me Coronas reigns. We were both laughing and giggling. "This way"
Hot Vet lead us through some tress to a little opening and the sight before me took my breathe away. I was on a hillside overlooking the Pacific Ocean. I could suddenly smell the Ocean. "This is my favorite spot" Hot Vet informed me. I held her hand and we stood in silence and looked out over the ocean. I turned to her leaned forward and kissed her like I have never kissed (Great idea Lucy LOL). Even better she kissed me back like I have never been kissed. "Hungry hey?" she said smiling. We rode back to the stable and then I had to work. Take off saddle, Brush Corona down (Yeah like he deserved it) feed him and water him. All of a sudden he was the most co-operative horse in exsistence. We drove into Yeppoon and had some fish and chips on the beach. Well we had the fish the seagulls got most off the chips. We had bought both our cars and I followed her back home. We stopped at her front door as she opened it. She pushed it open for me to enter. "Ladies first" I just wanted to check out her butt in those riding pants :) She leads me into the living room.
we are facing each other.
We kissed and kissed and kissed
And then.......................................nuff said
