So I was up late last night and decided to check out Saturday Night Live.  I was at one time a huge fan of SNL during the era of Farley and Sandler.  Last night I was surprised to see them lambaste Obama.  I read a blogger from National Review Online (a conservative publication) allude to the possibility that this was the first time.

The likeness of Obama wasn't very good.  It didn't seem he even tried to get the voice or facial expressions that the President is famous for.  The overall premise of the skit was to make Obama seem like a total novice.  It was funny on certain occasions.

What I would like to know is Jimmy Carter and certain members in the media going to say that SNL is racist?  Was there some sort or racial component behind this absolutely terrible attack?  Is SNL a voicebox for the vast right wing conspiracy?

The networks have got to know that their credibility is in the dumper. Letting SNL make some attempt to make them look balanced is a pretty safe bet. Conservatives will like that they are finally spoofing Mr. Nutpatty and leftists will just blow it off and figure they are just doing what they are doing -- TRYING to look fair, when we all know they are not at all fair in their coverage of him. I figure there will be a point that they will have to let go of his hands and let him sink into the icy cold political waters. I would bet that time is when it becomes obvious that he will be out in four years. (The corporations behind the networks will need to get back into the good graces of the Republicans.) If that time never comes, it will be sometime in his second term (God forbid). I find it spooky that the media takes sides. They should report the good and the bad about both parties. FOX News is about the only TV news still doing that, which infuriates leftists.

Yes, and then CNN did a "fact check" segment on the skit... Which should have been embarrassing for them... But instead it merely exposed CNN as a laughable media outlet.

They did that on all the Bush skits, right? Because they are not biased at all, right?

I thought that SNL was just making fun of politicians... In a free society that is allowed. I think it has something to do with that pesky thing called a first amendment, or better referred to as "freedom of speech." Somebody at the white house and/or CNN obviously forgot about that particular piece of 220 year old legislation.

Science and propaganda merge in global warming "debate."...

Even Chris Mathews at MSNBC is starting to question Obama.
