i literally just now got a call from JoAnn Fabrics that my lovely mother left the business check book at their store.
my god. does she need a babysitter!? *frustrated sigh*
she's already nearly overdrawn it three times. i love my mother but it is the only part of this business thing i really am frustrated with right now.

Wow, well is there any way for you to speak with her about it? Maybe even have somebody else handle the finances? I understand she's your mom and she might react badly, but that kind of thing could go way beyond hurt feelings, that's affecting all of you, not just her. Glad to hear they were nice enough to call and get it returned to you before anything else happened. -

this is a life long thing..... my dad and i have tried to talk to her about it several times just in the past month.... she's severely in denial.
thinks we're all just expecting too much. etc.
she needs to be in counseling.

if it's a business account, take away the check book. You can give her a spending allowance in cash, this way she cannot overdraw. It's just bad business to let someone affect your credit that way. -

it's a business account....but it's in her name.
that's how we had to do it at first.....hopefully now that we've incorporated all that can change.
