Things never seem to go well around this time of year. My husband lost his job, his employer owes him a lot of money and refuses to pay him, we couldn't afford to pay our electric bill and we have to find some way to get our rent money by no later than the tenth of October.
What good is the federal government? I have tried everything I can to get help and nothing good has come of it. We managed to sell my husband's guitar today to pay our electric bill. It's starting to get cold outside, and we have to pay over $300 to try and get our gas turned on to have our heat, and we can't afford that right now. We still need to come up with almost $120 to pay our rent, and I'm not sure where we are going to get that from.
This time last year, we were homeless. I really can't go through it all again this year. I don't think I would survive in my condition.
Hopefully things will turn around soon. I have a scan tomorrow to see if anything has changed the cancer in my liver. Hopefully it's good news. I sure could use some right about now.
