What will you learn?
MS Access
VBA
SQL
Reports
Queries
Documentation
Debugging
Complete database development from birth to grave
Where is it taught?
You learn from your home in front of your computer. I connect my computer with yours via the Internet. I teach you from your screen. We talk over your telephone (you have no long distance charges for this). I can send you emails with what we talked about. If you have a need, I can even send you a streaming video of my face as we talk. (You'd need a fast connection.)
How versitale is your program?
Your lessons can be self-guided if you need training on only one aspect of development with MS Access or need to get through a rough problem at work or school. Otherwise I can give you a preplanned course designed specifically for your needs.
How are you charging?
1 hour at a time. You schedule the hour and we have the lesson. You may schedule it as often as you want. There is no requiremed minimum.
How do you pay?
Paypal is a way of paying over the Internet. I simply send you a bill by email and you follow instructions on how to respond with a debit or credit card.
How much do lessons cost?
It depends on the student. Beginners are charged $25/hr
Mid level programmers who need to advance their careers are charged anywhere from $25/hr to $50/hr depending on the level of complexity of the material taught.
Advanced programmers who make a living doing access and need to get some very advanced help will pay $60/hr. This can get you through a tough spot on a project you are doing and save your position or advance your career.
What hours do you have available to teach?
I work an 8 hour day like everyone else. I teach for about 3 hours in the evening and several hours on Saturdays. As the tutoring business grows I will devote full time to teaching. The training is first-come, first-served. Preplanned, regular times are also okay if paid in advance. Cancellation of a class must be done 2 days in advance if at all. Refunds are not usually given if I lose tutoring time because of a late cancellation or no-show.
How much does a programmer earn?
I have seen few programmers who earn less that $20 per hour, even at entry level. Most will earn between $35 and $70 per hour.
