dust reads (1):
You've heard how maps aren't territory, and recipes aren't dishes. Right?

(If not, don't even bother reading the rest of this. It's beyond you. Go back to reading the celebrity gossip or other drama that you crave.)

But what you may not have heard is that representation of reality isn't the reality of what's being presented again.

The word 'represent' explains it, really. Re-presentation is taking what's not (or no longer) present, and "againing" it, as though it were the present. It's the past as though (it were) the present. Clearly, that dynamic excludes whatever the actual present may be.

Such is why the depth/intensity of "mystical" and/or "spiritual" experiences/states is proportional to the absence of conceptuality/representation/verbosity.

Thus would you do better to sit in the woods than in the internet.

UF: I'm not sure what "i aitn hhread" means, but I appreciate your response. I'd sit in the woods, but I have a better option called "the beach".

Exactly how much "in the image of God" are we? Do we have Godly powers to create matter even without knowing that we are? How do we define "reality" and what does science say about the matter?...
