It was like being in a time warp. Just for fun I hitchhiked back to my old town, but everyone was gone. There were new buildings and people. I felt like a stranger! I looked in the phone book and everyone was gone. The girls probably had gotten married, and changed their names. The little towns were now huge towns! Places that I knew were now gone as well! I need to find new places, but nothing stays the same. Being a creature of habbit just won't work anymore. Even the music is different now! I should have stayed on the farm. I should have listened to my ol man. I should have never moved away, but I did. This is all my own doing.

Sadly the old saying "you can't go back home" is true. The buildings and people might even be there, but time changes all things. Sometimes it's kinder to remember them warmly. -
