Ever since I pleasured myself the first time when I was in 8th grade, I have masturbated almost everyday. I really don't understand why people have such a problem with masturbation, because you can't get anyone pregnant nor can you catch any STDs. The only thing religious I have heard about the subject, was when God punished ((Forget his name)) for "spilling his seed." A friend of mine explained it to me better than anyone else. God wasn't mad at him for jacking off, but for pulling out and not impregnating a woman when God told him to. Besides, if God thought it was wrong anytime our semen went anywhere but inside a women, we would all be in trouble. They told us in middle school about wet dreams. If we don't do it ourselves, we will ejaculate in our sleep eventually anyways. There really is no way to stop ourselves from releasing our semen, so why not enjoy it?
One thing my minister did point out, is that the behavior of masturbation can become addicting and control your life. I do enjoy the release it offers me, because I don't have someone to share my life with right now. If I couldn't masturbate, I feel I would crave sex, and that could lead to trouble. I don't believe in random sex or one night stands. I personally believe in the idea of one lifelong partner, and that is what I long for everyday. Knowing the feeling masturbation gives me, I know that when I find the right guy, sex will be just that much better. Why should I go around having sex, to me that devalues what sex is. Sex is something you do with someone you love, and not random strangers. And that is where masturbation comes in, it gives you an introduction to the feelings associated with sex, so you are not overwhelmed when you meet the right person. And, so you don't jump the gun and ruin your relationship with someone by moving too fast because you don't have a release for your sexual desires.
