I've been thinking a lot about faith.. religion and mostly where I belong...
I'm I religious .. ? I'd say no.. do I have faith ? ...I'd say yes !

Anyway lets not get into that too much, I was thinking away in my bed while trying to
come up with a simple answer ...
why do people go to Churches, mosques or synagogues  ?
simple answer of course would be .. to pray, but why in Churches, mosques and synagogues ?????

Is their some kind of value in these religious buildings made of stone by men ?
we'll I went to my local church and asked the ''priest''  -* note I did not call him ''father'' which he didn't like but he listened to my questions anyway.

Q-Question  A-Answer

Q: Why do people come to church ?
A: to pray !
Q: Why do people pray in a church ?
A: because its the house of god !
Q: Why would god have church ?
A: so people could pray in it !

after that I stopped because I knew he'd just repeat the same thing over and over again till I go '' hmm your right''
I went to a Mosque and synagogue after... same thing !

We'll here's the deal .. I came up with a good logic which I think most will disagree on... !
Churches, mosques and synagogues or any other religious building  that are build for the intend on people praying in that building or any building for that matter..

will NOT make you ''more'' religious or have god or whoever you believe in, give you a free pass into heaven... if your thinking like that,  I'm sorry but that's stupid !
why would god be confined to a building.... ?

some of you might say that if you pray in a church or whatever you get like a ''bonus prayer'' or something.....lol, what is this a game ?
Their a lot of things I disagree on with ... like Priests or Imams that call themselves
'' father '' or ''speaker of god'' ... gotta be kidding me !

Father ?? the only one you should be calling father should be god himself not some priest in a church !! ( likewise I totally disagree with the Vatican aswell...)

So I ask you ...
does it matter if I don't go to church, mosque or a synagogue ?
does it matter if I pray in the in a church, mosque or a synagogue ?
does it matter if I pray in a pile of shit ?
Do you really think god cares where I pray ?
Any other comments would be appropriated.

just to end this little theory of mine.. I know I'm insulting some people with some of the things I'm putting down, but know this,  I had no intention in offending people,
only to question their reasoning.

I'm not a church goer, and by the way I do agree with you. I have always looked at the places you mentioned, as places to be reborn, meaning to change the thinking of a person. When you say reborn, then there is something to be said about the universal law of attraction, universal meaning it affects us all. Most of the time when we go to those places we are looking for a change in our lives, from what we think of ourselves to be wrong into what we think is right, but for some reason we can't change on our own,, so we look for help from people who we think are living their life right. You know, birds of a feather. So we are drawn to those people to conversate to change the way we think. You see the only way a person can be changed is to change the way that person thinks. If you hang around someone long enough you will begin to adapt some of the characteristics of that person. This is, on a basic level the law of attraction, you draw to yourself what you think. So I think you go to these places not just to pray but to fellowship, to take in new ideas to better yourself, whatever that may be. Prayer is actully the first step you take after a thought has been born in the mind of what you want to do. It should be like meditation, and you don't have to be in any church, most of the time we pray for direction ,but when you are finished with prayer, don't look for nothing to fall out the sky. You work with God in you to accomplice all you need.

I carry a torch in one hand
And a bucket of water in the other:
With these things I am going to set fire to Heaven
And put out the flames of Hell
So that voyagers to God can rip the veils
    And see the real goal.

Before I go on to discuss the topic I will like to let you know that you are a unique being with unique qualities. You are wonderfully made by God the creator, loaded with potentials...
Did you read the blog entry below about Adam's transgression? Now read this: How does Jesus define righteousness? It it obedience to the 10 commandments? Is it some sort of formula that we have to follow?...
Have a Godly time!

As Christian's we learn that the just shall live by faith alone, so what is faith and how do we get it....
You do not have to live in bondage to things that you have done in the past nor things that others have done to you. Set yourself free through none other than through the Lord, Jesus Christ....
