mrM and I had dinner with his brother and family tonight.  My little niece CutiePie, age five going on 16, just started kindergarten a couple of weeks ago, so I asked her how she was liking school.

Aunt Mimi:  So, is the teacher nice?

CP [said with a longsuffering sigh]:  Yeah, but she really is kind of bossy.

We commiserated over that sad fact for a moment, then she leaned over close to my ear and said:

And there are a LOT of weird boys.

Oh, honey.  I got news for you.  That doesn't change much.  I'm 55, and I still think there are a LOT of weird boys.

So, the ones who make the rules are bossy, and boys can be weird.  She's learned a couple of the basic truths of life.

I guess two out of three ain't bad !   Whoops ! You didn't hear me say that . . .

      I remember when I was nothing more then a small brat :o)  hearing this . . .

      Boy's are made of  . . .
    greasy, grimy , gofer guts
    insulated monkey meat
    little baby birdie feet
two fried eye balls sitting in a tub of blood . . .
that's what boys are made of.

When I turned thirty I realized it wasn't really true !   I hate rumors :o(     I take that back !  I love Fleetwood Mac.   Have a wonderful Sunday MissMimi.  Give me a minute, I'll be Ok after I blow dry my new keyboard  : - o   !

MimiBella.......oh, and this is only the beginning of her never ending learning process....lol...

Wait until she will be 14 like mine....you will remember with acute nostalgia CutiePie saying that boys are weird....because at 14 she will think they are so cooooool....

Better when girls think boys are weird.....and stay away from them.....;-p

You know what they say. I learned all I needed to know about life in kindergarten. :)

Alyss -- This little kid has a mind of her own.  Very likely Miss Taylor is a very nice teacher -- Cutie Pie just doesn't like to follow rules.  :D  I was just thinking she must have endless patience and fortitude to deal with 25  5-year-olds at a time.

CM -- Now I'm disillusioned!  I thought I saw a baby birdie foot stuck in your teeth!   I like Fleetwood Mac too.  :)

Hege -- LOL  yep she's pretty smart.

uni -- I wonder if they're in a book somewhere.  The Great Truths of Life.  :D

So sorry for the delay -- you must have been commenting at the same time I was.

gingerpeach -- Yeah, I remember those years.  Eventually we learn, and it goes full circle.  Boys can be weird -- life is easier if you learn to love and forgive the weirdness.

ss -- That's the one!  I thought there was a book like that and couldn't think of the name.

Hopefully CutiePie won't think the weird boys are the cool ones when she's 14...lol.

Twirlie -- no, but her parents probably will.  ;)

I loved Kindergarten, even when I think of it now I would not have changed a thing.

I can't even count how many times I peed my pants just to stay at the rice station, awe the memories....
