  I really cannot agree with that one. I usually give assholes (hmmm, a person compared to another body part) a lot of rope, but at some point they just get annoying. (If you have not blocked skilletcork, he / she will most likely be on here proving my point pretty soon.) I have not blocked a lot of people a totally disagree with, but they are not annoying. Would you let just any annoying twit into your living room to act like a turd (hmmm, something that comes out of a body part) in front of your family? I have blocked several spammers as well and people who just make weird, unintelligible comments.

  As far as people pushing their religion, that is pretty much part of the package when you sign up as a Christian, Muslim, Jew, etc. You have to share your "good news" with other people. Jesus even told His disciples and followers to do that ... spread the good news. I am pretty sure some people heard Him wrong and thought He said spread the bad news, that they are going straight to hell if they believe anything different. It is kind of a thankless catch 22. Probably the most inoffensive thing you can do is give someone a brochure from your church so they can go hear the preacher talk. If they are held captive for an hour or so, and have to listen, maybe they will get it. I used to tell Mormons that I was Jewish if they caught me outside on a Saturday morning. That pretty much stopped them in their tracks. It is pretty irritating when Christians or whatever come at you like one of those condo salesman at a seminar you attended to get a free set of steak knives.

  not really caught up on the religion thing, but i do not need them knocking on my door telling me i am dammed for all eternity if i dont believe thier particular brand. as for the brochure thing, i would find that fairly harmless as the it is really nothing more than an invite which i am free to accept or decline. i remember in the army we had to go to padre's hour 2x a week where the padre would speak of what was happening in the world and put his prespective as both a soldier and a padre, those held my attention, today's churches just seem to be more about proving the other guy wrong and asking for money.

  I do not block rants, I block people who spam me. I consider cutting and pasting tons of crap from the internet spamming as well. I want to hear what the person has to say, not some propaganda from some special interest internet site. Just because someone else out there agrees with their nonsense does not prove it is correct. I figure we are all just stating our opinions around here. Some try to bury you to the point there is no way to respond. I suppose they think that somehow proves their point. I do not have that kind of time to wade through page after page of gibberish. If I want to know what the Socialist Party thinks about something, I will go to their website and check it out for myself. I do not need it pasted into my blog posts. But suit yourself. I am not trying to change anyone's mind on anything. Think what you want. I just state my opinion about it and that is about all I want to hear from anyone else. That goes for religion as well. I am a Christian, but if someone else wants to burn in hell, who am I to stop them. They can read the Bible just like I did and draw their own conclusions. My OPINION is that anyone that beats you over the head with their religious views is talking to themselves more than to you. I do some take it or leave it posts here, stating my OPINION on religion, but in the real world you only get my opinion if you ask for it.
