The page you were looking for no longer exists

I have a sick feeling of desperation that is lingering all around me at all times.  I have a bazillion and one ideas on how to solve my financial distress.  Will any one of them work?  All I need is for one of my ideas to work.  I dont know.  I cant answer that until I invest in any of them.  What one is best?  What is worth investing?  How do I choose?

I think I might have found a way to make money online.  Its risk free, or im told.  It makes sense, I can see how it would benefit both parties.  It makes good sense is the big selling point for me.  My only question is, will it work?  It claims that you dont need to know jack shit about computers and that its tutorials will walk me through everything.

I still question my ability to do it on my own.  Im super impressed that people in my area have tried it and have been successful.

If there is any area in the US that still lives in the dark ages and thinks everything is a scam and that the internet is the devil, its the midwest.  Especially Nebraska and South Dakota and Iowa.  So when I looked to see testimonials and found people 100 miles away from me in all directions that have tried it and found it to be simple and profitable.  That blew me away.

Essentially im referring people to .ws its a newish company.  Every person I get to sign on I recieve one dollar and every person they get to sign on I recieve one dollar for each of them and so on and so forth for 5 generations.  I get my own domain name and ten email addresses and training and services and a bunch of other access to tools I will need for only ten dollars a month...

So, I become a member for ten dollars/months and get paid good money for referring people successfully.

I would really appreciate it if you all would go to this website and tell me what you think of it.  Do you think its a scam?  Do you think it will work?  Should I try it?

If nothing else maybe some of you will want to try it.  Its a very informative website and to me they are quite straightforward and not insanely optimistic.  They stress that you only get paid depending on how much you put into it.  Makes sense.

My first thought, too....pyramid.  But I don't know for sure, so don't listen to me.  I keep hearing hubby asking my why I haven't "learned to make money" on this or that, since I seem to live hooked up to the computer.

I'm still looking!  Because I know there are good ones out there.  Just gotta be smarter than the average bear.

Just be careful, and if you are sure that you've hit on one that works, let me know please....

The ladies seem to have it about right. I know from my short stint as a telemarketer I am not the type of person that can sell things to someone that is not needed. I guess you should really look inside yourself and see if you feel you can sign the needed amount of people up to make it a profitable business for you and your family. If you rely on the need for others to sign then I know I would fail. Good luck though I know what it means to have the need of money.

My main rule is that the money only goes one way ... TO me, not FROM me.

  • Hegemone said on Sep 15, 2009....
I sort of agree with Alienated, so far as internet things go, if they want money first, then it's not something I trust.  Also what bothers me with this site ... what is it they're offering?  What's the service?  I know that link may only be to that small portion, but it bothered me that I could not figure out in the slightest what that place does.  Sure the testimonials talked about a free trial ... a free trial of WHAT?  If I can't pin point exactly what it is I'd be trying to get people to sign up for, I have no way of trying to market it and convince them they should do it.

I saw a deal sort of like the one you describe. You sell people on the product and then you get a cut from anyone they sell. However, there was an actual product -- electricity. Have had to get four people to sign up before you get any "commission". However, you could sign up (you have to have electricity anyway), and that would count as one occurrence. You could also set up a website that would count as another occurrence. So you really only had to sell two other people on it. That is the closest thing to a decent proposition I have seen online.

There is nothing wrong with a pyramid structure as long as there is a real and hopefully good product or products involved. Amway and Mary Kay come to mind. But all too often there is not really a good product there. It is like the old chain letters. You send me $5 and put your name on the list, and send the letter to 25 people. However, if everyone would be true to a chain letter, it might just make everyone rich or at least better off. I have not worked out the math on how much each person would make, which might be hard considering most people would send it to several people already on the list and it depends on how many people can be on the list.

Thanks for the opinion secret....Scam: 1 point.

Wombie, despite probability I think im gonna still try.  For one reason, almost all the ones ive wanted to try required a big fat one time fee "mail me $400.00 and ill make you rich"...this is different though, i just need to become a member of the company and pay a monthly measly ten dollar membership fee and they give me 7 days risk free and said that was enough time to decide wether or not you will make money....So there is minimal risk.  If it works i will for sure let you know.

Mom, I wouldnt have to sell anything.  The website/dvd is the sales pitch, i just need to get the people on the righ road.  Could be as simple as networking with facebook and myspace and giving everyone i know a card...I definitly have the ability to reach out to people.  Thank you

Thank you ms star, i would really appreciate that link

Thats a good rule Alien, and I agree.  Im pleased that i am not buying anything but only paying a membership fee and can cancel anytime.  99% of the others require a hell of a lot more than 10 bucks a month. Plus with a membership I have access to my sponsor 24/7 and can get help if i need it.  But others, once you pay your one time fee you are on your own.  : )

Hege, they are selling .ws domains.  All domains cost money like go daddy dot com,  its almost impossible as far as I know to get a FREE domain name they all charge a monthly fee.  However GDI (.ws) is offering every "member" a domain name and up to 10 personal email address.  Not yahoo or hotmail.  but hege@hege.ws up to ten of those that say anything you want.  The reason they can almost gaurantee whatever name you want is bc they are somewhat new and not all the names have been taken like with ".com"  ONTOP of that you also get the opportunity to be paid for recruiting others to become a member one dollar for each recruitment plus a dollar from all the other recruitments made by the ones you recruited up to 5 generations, thats a lot of mula if your dealin with a substantial amount of people.  No other domain memberships offer the option to get paid for being a member and having a domain.

I totally agree alien, you are right and i think that GDI has an awesome product in demand and its growing constantly and technically i dont even need to sell anything, all i do is open peoples eyes to it the website does the selling.

Do not use "THE THREE STEP PLAN" ( scam). I have been searching for years,  but they all want your up front money. It seems that unless you own a  popular website like "ebaums" and sell web space for ads this can be a tough fight! Don't give out any of your *numbers over the net iether! ( cons, thieves)
  • mixednuts said on Sep 15, 2009....
If it sounds to good to be true...IT IS!
  • mixednuts said on Sep 15, 2009....
MLM is multi level marketing. STAY AWAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  • MoonLiteRide said on Sep 15, 2009....
MLM (as mixednuts has defined) are great if you are in the top few levels, but the returns drop off sharply as you move down the ranks.

There are some good ideas but ideally, if you want to make the money, YOU need to have and implement the idea.  You may make a little money in doing this, or you may get nothing at all, it's hard to say.  But if you do make any money I strongly suspect that when you figure out how much money versus how much time you put in, you'll find the wage rate is horrible and doing just about anything else will yield better results.

Also, ask yourself this, how many people do you know who REALLY want their own domain name that don't already have one.  There are a lot of domains out there.  And if you truly want your "own" domain, there are essentially free ways of getting them anyway ... they're just not real domains but most people who want a free or cheap domain don't really care.

Personally, I tend to steer clear of MLM.  But it works for some apparently.  It's not an easy way to earn a buck though.  I tend to think too that MLMs do work better when you actually are selling something a bit more tangible.

my husband was telling me about these kinda scams last night, he had been looking for some extra online stuff whilst setting up his business and star some of them were totally convinving! this sounds like the same kinda thing, I would stay clear, anything that sounds too good to be true..usually is too good to be true! ...especially online

... have you considered going in to business yourself? your a cosmotologist right? maybe you could do mobile hair and nails.. make over partys for kids birthdays ..something along those lines?  you'd be your own boss and could work around being a mum too?

  • starchini said on Sep 18, 2009....

Mr. Strange, ive been seeing your comments on other peoples post as well as my own.  I must say I wonder about you and your intentions.  I wonder if you are easily impressed by what people say our if you are an arrogant prick.

Telling you that my comment was eaten is not wonderful and I dont have the slightest idea why you would want to quote me on that.  So either you are an arrogant prick making fun of what people say with sarcasm, or are quite ignorant and easily impressed...do tell me which one it is.
