Did you hear?  The Census Bureau dropped Acorn!  Said they're "too much of a distraction." Woo hoo!
    It's a start.
  • SeanRenaud said on Sep 12, 2009....
This doesn't pass the basic smell test.  I know there are stupid people but they gave this information infront of a camera?
  • D6fer said on Sep 12, 2009....
    hidden camera sean....hidden camera.

Finally, ACORN has been exposed for what they are......crooked scum
  • javadewd said on Sep 12, 2009....
Glenn let loose one from DC today. So funny!
  • SeanRenaud said on Sep 12, 2009....
Yeah but there are laws about what can and can't be used with hidden cameras, not to mention the picture is too clear, to well focused.  Like I said this doesn't pass the BS test for me.

Maryland is suing O'Keefe? WTF?? This fucking world has gone mad! Mad I say!!
  • D6fer said on Sep 12, 2009....
lol....sean....are you kidding? Have you ever heard of 60 minutes?....Dateline NBC?.....etc.

    This isn't making the news yet is it?......what a joke.....no media bias!.....yeah....right.

  • SeanRenaud said on Sep 13, 2009....
Its not making the news because it's bullshit.  And yeah I have heard of 60 minutes.  Ever noticed how those shows ALWAYS blur the faces of the guilty party.  It's because there are laws requiring it.  Hell even Cops blurs faces half the time.
  • javadewd said on Sep 13, 2009....
They didn't air the comparison when they had proof that Obama supported a single-payer option (and had video, too!) and then said he wasn't for it. They didn't do comparison footage of pre-election statements to post-election statements that show Obama as a compulsive liar, either. That's what's odd to me...
  • SeanRenaud said on Sep 13, 2009....
That's a separate subject.  Though just like I defended Bush (and I even have an entire blog on it someplace that I'll see if I can dig up) you can't get mad at Obama for being radical left wing and then get mad at him again when his stance changes to something closer to what the public wants.  Either we want our politicians to be George Bush who's going to do what he's going to do America be damned or we want Clinton (it's early to say on Obama and I suspect he's a Bushie anyway)  who is going to listen to the polls and go that way.
  • javadewd said on Sep 13, 2009....
Pardon the analogy, but I think conservatives seem to want the "best of both worlds" or a "chocolate and peanut butter combo" -- they want a cowboy like Bush who will do as he pleases, but they want a cowboy that everybody likes... Like John Wayne, Clint Eastwood, Morgan Freeman, Cleavon Little, Samuel L. Jackson (short of Lakeview Terrace, of course, but cool like Pulp Fiction) et tal.

It would also certainly help if Obama had a moral compass. No matter how many times we shake that 8-ball we end up with the answer "All signs point to 'No.'" And why does the 8-ball have to be black!? Billards are obviously racist!
  • SeanRenaud said on Sep 13, 2009....

I think Americans want the best of both worlds.  You could easily make the argument that America is basically a conservative nation, we are.  Our "liberals" would be considered conservative anywhere else in the civilized world (Europe, Japan, Australia not Iran and Iraq).  We are a right of center nation.  However that couldn't be farther from the point your making.

The point your making is true.  We want to like our President (it's a large part of how Obama beat Hillary.  Nobody like Hillary.  The job was hers by right of "royalty" but she lost because she wasn't well liked.  She got as far as she did because Americans are just like any other people.  We can say whatever we say but we want Kings and Queens.  We praise democracy but we don't actually want it.  Hense the Kennedys who basically show up in a state and explain politely that they would like to claim their throne and it's given to them.  And the Bushes aren't a whole lot better.  But obviously the Kennedies are the worst perpetrators of this.

  • javadewd said on Sep 14, 2009....
I'd almost agree with you if our "liberals" were like the just-left-of-center folks in the small suburban town where I live or my wife. Unfortunately, the ones I keep running into are simply immoral criminals. Maybe I just keep bumping into the same 2% of ultra-left wingers?

I was in some shit fight the other day on curm's blog where some jack-ass commie was politely talking about how conservatives were simply bad people. I responded by pointing out the rainbows and butterflies as they planned to jam the knife in our skulls. No matter how passive, an invasion is an invasion and destruction is destruction.
  • D6fer said on Sep 14, 2009....
it's bullshit? any proof of that sean?....has it been debunked?
  • SeanRenaud said on Sep 14, 2009....

There are of course liberal commie scum.  But my point is that by the large our liberal commie scum would be considered ruthless capitalists if they left America.

Like I said D6, I don't have proof but this doesn't pass the smell test.  I mean just entrapment and illegal recording of a conversation alone are a big deal.  There is a reason why when a company is even sorta selling you something on the phone that they inform you that you are being recorded.  It's because it's law.  No blurred faces, this is so far down the totem pole of believability that Rush Limbaugh hasn't touched it.

  • D6fer said on Sep 14, 2009....
entrapment or not, are these the kinds of people we want running our country?

This is just one instance of corruption that now has been substantiated against ACORN......there have been so many in the past that they have gotten away with....lets face it.....ACORN has some pretty big hitters on their side, most notably the President.....they have been able to get away with so much.....that may be over now....let's hope so.....ACORN is a disgrace to the U.S.A. and to black Americans specifically......is this an accurate representation of  all of black America?
  • javadewd said on Sep 15, 2009....
I love the head guy at bighollywood.com on Glenn Beck talking about their strategy to set traps for the assholes at ACORN. They knew they'd try to say the first one was an isolated incident. They knew they'd say the second one would be "dubbed" but three and four? And on top of it all the big three in media : ABC, NBC, CBS are now getting their pee-pees whacked for not covering the story. Ah, the end of television media... Boy wouldn't that be refreshing!
  • D6fer said on Sep 15, 2009....
oh yeah JD.....and can you believe all of these guys around here saying that liberal media bias does not exist?.....wtf is this then?
  • javadewd said on Sep 15, 2009....
The bar has been set so low on truth, even a caveman can grunt it.
  • SeanRenaud said on Sep 16, 2009....
I stand corrected.  This was real.  Idiots.
  • javadewd said on Sep 16, 2009....
I'm sure the look on their face when they saw the footage looked something like this.
  • D6fer said on Sep 16, 2009....
so are the networks not covering it sean?

where is bloc on this?.....I believe I remember him defending these clowns during the election.
  • javadewd said on Sep 16, 2009....
I actually saw a clip of it on my local Fox affiliate, not the cable [FNC] side today... Along with plenty of local shit that just pissed me off.

Yes, where is our resident popped-collar liberal douche bag?
  • SeanRenaud said on Sep 16, 2009....

The networks are covering it.  Maybe not as heavily as they should have given the size of the scandal.  Though to be fair we didn't hear much more than this about various shit Blackwater got away with and they were killing people not supporting prostitutes (which should be legal to begin with)

More to the point nobody would care about Acorn if it wasn't seen as a way to damage Obama.

  • D6fer said on Sep 17, 2009....
Obama is ACORN....that is the point....he trained people for this organization....if this is the way they do business....then they both need to go.
  • javadewd said on Sep 17, 2009....
He was their defense lawyer in Illinois (Chicago -- the rest of the state disowns them), too. They got his happy ass into the POTUS seat, so he owes them "favors."
  • ALIENated said on Sep 17, 2009....

There was a lady on the Laura Ingraham show earlier this evening who blew the whistle on ACORN last year. She went to the New York Times, ABC, and CNN. She told them how a group within ACORN was soliciting more money from maxed out contributors to Obama's campaign. This sounds like the kind of funny business that got Richard Nixon impeached.

  • javadewd said on Sep 18, 2009....
Ooooh... Nixon v2.0... Ooooh... Yet another example of a Republican fuck-up and the Democrats fucking it up oh so much better! I wish they'd quit diving in our political dumpster of bad ideas... We threw them out for a reason.
  • SeanRenaud said on Sep 18, 2009....
Lets go ahead and stick with OBama is Acorn.  Bush is Blackwater.  I'd rather support pimps and hoes to murderers.  This here is exactly the reason why in 2010 Republicans could easily lose more seats.  Instead of concentrating on things that Obama is legitamitly fucking up like the DETAILS of his healthcare plan instead you're crying about Acorn, instead you aren't stomping the shit out of the members of your party that claim he was born in Kenya.  Instead you're talking about how it is beneath the president to have an opinion about current events (ie Kanye West).  It's like you guys want to lose.
  • ALIENated said on Sep 18, 2009....

Obama's mother was an American, right? Case closed on the birth issue, unless I am missing something. CNN's boy, Lou Dobbs, is stoking that fire, probably to help make conservatives look stupid. That is akin to liberals posing as conservatives at rallies and holding up Nazi signs. And where was McCain born? Illegal campaign activities is a legitamate issue and will probably be why the new Republican congress (after 2010 elections) impeaches Mr. Obama, and then we get Biden (groan). As far as the Kanye West is a jackass comment, that just shows that he is inexperienced and needs to keep his mouth shut at all times. We all could be better at that. This is the fun part about American politics. No matter who becomes president, they will be slapped down if they get too cocky and do stuff that is too extreme. Obama thinks he has found a new technique to fool The People (using ACORN, etc.). He is about to find out that Joe Q. Public does not like to be fucked with. Even die-hard Democrats do not like to be scammed by one of their own. Guys like Obama, Jimmy Carter, and Al Gwhore wake Joe Q. up and get him to the polls. Believe me, Joe Q. knows what is important and what is not important. You do not have to point that out.

  • D6fer said on Sep 18, 2009....
I find it interesting how the tables have turned on the liberals.....they must have thought that once they had their mandate, their control, that there wouldn't be an equal and opposite reaction......Now just look at the town halls, the demonstrations, the tea parties.....we have taken a page from the liberal playbook and are now giving them a taste of their own medicine.

Sean.....2010 is not going to bring republican defeat....quite the contrary.....the backlash will be great.....with any luck 2012 will cement Obama's place in history next to Jimmy Carter.
