growing up on a family that instills discipline using this method i am now wondering if it is the right way to discipline a kid. i turned out ok if i may say so myself but is there another alternative out there that i could use that would not drive me nuts? it seems that positive reinforcement just isn't working sometimes and i feel like i have to use force in order to discipline my child.
whenever i spank her on the butt i feel that i hurt myself more whenever i do this because of the guilty feeling i have inside. but everytime i spank her i always hug her afterwards and tell her that i love her but what she did was wrong that's why i had to do it.
am i doing it right?
