I was thinking today, government interference is like in a sci fi movie when someone goes back in time and does one little thing that screws up the future. A good example is the Ashton Kutcher movie Butterfly Effect. The Back To The Future movies also dealt with the same problem.
When government interferes, it is more like the elephant effect or the bull in a china closet effect. They do not just change one little thing, they make more changes than anyone can even read, or will read. So how can they know what their stupidity is going to do to our future? They do not even know what is in their stupid legislation.
If one little bit of interference can totally screw up the future, imagine what all the big changes they are making can do. Back during the Carter years, they thought they could force the issue of housing so that everyone could buy a house WHETHER THEY COULD PAY FOR IT OR NOT. That sounds like a good cause, right? Wrong. If anyone can qualify for a house, guess what, the demand for houses goes up. And guess what, the price of houses also goes up because of a little thing called supply and demand. (See "When You Reward Failure" for more about that.)
I figure the Butterfly Effect is the reason government gets us in so much trouble. Thinking that the next group of politicians is going to get us in less trouble than the last group of politicians is the stupid effect. Meaning we have to be stupid if we believe that.
Election after election we keep voting for people who are going to do this and are going to change that. We are stupid. We need to vote for people who are not going to do anything, except maybe let us spend our own hard earned money.
But we have too many people who can vote that do not even have or make any money. So what are they going to do? They are going to vote for the best liar, the guy that makes the best claims about giving them something for nothing. You know, like Obama did.
As I understand it, our government is now being funded by less than 50 percent of the people, and the majority of the funding comes from an even smaller group than that. Is that taxation without representation or what?
When I am king, I will pass a law that says each vote will be weighted by the amount of income tax that person pays each year. Do you think politicians would not change their tune if that was the rule? We have deadbeats and illegal immigrants who contribute nothing positive to our society determining our future by electing idiots like Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid, and Barack Obama.
At the very least, you should not get to vote if you did not pay any income tax in the last year before an election unless you had a damn good reason (too old, disabled, etc.) not to.
Why do we expect politicians to act rationally when they are elected by a bunch of people who just want a handout from the government? Let me see, people that want something from the government elected me last time, what should I do while in office.
It makes me sick when people talk about Republicans catering to the big corporations and rich people. SO FUCKING WHAT? Those companies and rich people are the ones that keep us all employed. Maybe you are noticing that right about now. Ronald Reagan was absolutely right: real wealth trickles down and so does the lack of wealth.
Idiots like Obama think that the government can somehow get involved and spread the wealth around. Bullchips. That is not the way it works. If people and companies are not free to make a big profit they are not going to be around for long or employ people for long. Maybe you are noticing that right about now as well.
If you head toward Mars and your path is off by an inch, you will miss Mars by miles and miles (you do the math). It is the same thing when government gets involved in things it should not get involved in. We need to stop electing people who promise us tax hikes, handouts, and more and more legislation. If a politician says they are going to do anything other than provide a strong military and build roads and bridges, do not give them your vote. They are part of the Stupid Effect. They are the ones that are going to cause us to miss our goal by miles and miles and miles.
