  I will say though that if you are in any type of online business, they tell you to blog about your product.  I suppose with the high number of subscribers here at SC, it becomes a target for such blogs. 
  
  I look at them as people trying to make a buck.

  I ignore them, but their existence bugs me.  I haven't been around super-regularly for a while, but it seems like there are more spammers than there used to be.

  they are annoying but i don't mind the separate sales pitch posts so much as the annoying little turds that actually put their link on someones actual post.  i've read heartbreaking posts about people losing loved ones and some insensitive dickhead puts a link to their bling and handbags!!  They ought to at least have some decency.

  I try to ignore it, but it is very annoying when you want to read an actual BLOG!  In the most recent things, to maybe try find some other people to read and it's page after page of damn ads for stuff. -.-'   I try ignore it, which is all you can reaally do.

  CW - I hear you about blogging about your online business, but I'd interpret that to be the way you do it...interspersed with your blog about other topics...not when all the blogs are solely advertisements.
   
  Eilan - that was the impression I had, that there were definitely more than before. And it's good to see you posting here again.
   
  pc - oh good point. you're right it is much more annoying when they post on every single thread on the first couple of pages. And the inappropriateness...oh yeah. :(

  I've read very few of them. I guess their titles don't lure me in? If you happen upon one by accident and it allows tags, I suppose we can tag it "Spam", "Commercial" "Loser" "Sales Pitch" etc.??

  same as getting junk mail in your letter box i reckon,some i read ,if its power tools it catches my eye and i'll have a look .if they put it into someone blog and its a sensitive issue than thats plain wrong.Blue.

  oh I don't read them...as in open up...but I do love the idea of the tags...except I'd have to post on them and don't want to do that.
