I was talking to my friend Jake yesterday and we were talking about people taking breaks in relationships. I was explaining how I'm taking a break from my relationship, but not acctually. I'm taking a break from the emotions of hurt whenever he doesn't call and making myself take a break from caring about things like that, but I'm not actually taking a break from HIM.
A few hours later, his girlfriend texts me says that Jake and her are taking a break..
So, I assume, taking a BREAK means BREAKING UP, correct? It's the same thing.
His girlfriend has a crush on another guy and I told her to pursue it. I convinced her totally that it's ok for her to have fun with other guys and kiss other guys, because Jake doesn't control what she does anymore. She isn't Jake's and she shouldn't care if Jake would be hurt by it or not, because he's the one that wanted a break.
Ten minutes later, i talk to Jake, and he says that they are "taking time apart" and it's not the same as broken up. He says that they are just apart, but pretty much still together....
And I convinced his girlfriend/ex gf/whatever she is to get a new boyfriend or crush...
Wow. I know how to screw things up, don't I?
