As sad as I'll be to give up my daily tank top wearing (and my sandals, eventually...probably not for good on those until late October at the earliest), I'm ready for some cool weather around here!

It's not just that I'm an autumn/winter person by nature anyway, or that the cold invigorates me, or any of that stuff...it's the wardrobe! I wear jeans year-round, but the shirts...more specifically, the SLEEVES!!

I enjoy long sleeves -- but not just any old sweater or shirt. There's so much you can DO with sleeves! Sleeves are where designers can get creative! I adore big bell sleeves, split sleeves, asymmetrical sleeves (design/logo or cut of the fabric), you name it! I also love sleeves cut to rest over the back of the hand in a point or other design (sorry, if there's a name for that I don't know it).

I hate sleeves in the summertime, even t-shirt sleeves. But with autumn on the horizon, my infatuation with all things interestingly-sleeved is about to begin! :-D I wish I could afford to go shopping! Who's with me?

(I said "sleeve" so many times in this post that now it doesn't look like a real word anymore...ever do that?)

Can't say that I ever thought all that much about sleeves, but as a man I suppose things take a somewhat different  perspective.

As to the weather, I'll ship you some of ours, I don't think we've nad more than ten days where the temp got over 80.  Rained a lot, at least twenty days in July and August wasn't much better.  Cold as late autumn around here, had to turn the damn heat on yesterday.

Yup, I'm with you on long sleeves, although I like them to cover my chubby arms..lol. You can push them up if you're warm and slide them down if you're cold.  What more could you ask for, right?

TIO, lol, I have said a word so much or actually paid attention to the way it sounded so much so that it stopped seeming like a real word, I know what you mean there.  I came to the conclusion long ago that there is one word per day that I will do that to, and I generally live up to that.  As far as sleeves, I never gave them that much thought, I'll have to pay more attention to what my sleeves look like, but I know in general they wind up getting shoved up to my elbows if I have to wear them.  Guess I'm not as much of a sleeve lover as I hope, unless it's freezing cold and I'm out in it.

A totally random thought, infernally ♥... but is there a song about sleeves?!? :D

I'll totally go shopping with you!  I like 3/4 sleeves on most of my sleeved shirts so that I don't have to push them up out of the way.  I do like longer sleeves on some shirts.  Especially those I wear walking so that I don't get too much sun.  I have to say I really don't like bell sleeves, they make me feel like my arms are huge. :(  I will wear cap sleeves in the "in between" season.

Sleeves keep me warmer when it's cold.....that's it.

Wish I could say I love this post!  Ha....  But I'd rather have tanks or short sleeves.

Now, shopping for fall....that's a whole new ballgame!  I love the fall looks, and wish I could spend thousands of dollars on plaids, wool, jackets, colored hoserie, boots, knit caps, scarves, bulky jewelry to go with it.....

Alas, I will probably be in my old jeans, sweaters and if it's somewhere special, my wool coat with the fox fur and nice boots.

    say 'sleeves' repeatedly, like 'sleevesleevesleevesleevesleevesleeves...'
and soon it will sound like lives, lives, lives...
we had this game as kids when bored out of our minds on long summer trips... :-)
i love cold weather, but avoid long sleeves as long as i can.
figure that one out, infernal friend.
