  To be exact, there are also sources that argue this is not Marley's quote.....but i always knew it as one of his saying.

  ginger, the truth is that most reliable collections of bob marley quotes don't include this one.
  other bob marley quotes are traceable to his lyrics, or to published interviews.
  this one apparently just gets circulated in the internet from one blog to another, like the famous neiman-marcus cookie recipe.
  it doesn't sound like bob marley at all.

  i guess it's the editor in me.

  editors take all the flak when their writers cite wrong or no sources for quotes...

  Moon....oh, i do understand....after all...even in real life....i am the reporter, you are the editor...
   
  I go around and look for sources and report them all so the readers can make their own judgement...
   
  You are the editor who has to check what us reporters bring back...and sometimes he is not happy at all because he wants the undoubtable truth.....
   
  Truth is....I don't trust you editors....lol.....too many of them got me in deep trouble....even though i was in the right...
   
  I hope you understand.......;-p   
   
  I do agree with you that the quote doesn't sound completely of Marley.....but.....do we really know all his quotes...one by one?

  ginger, in my book, and actual experience:
  when there's a difference in opinion between writer and editor, and that difference spells a BIG DIFFERENCE, the editor always defers. the writer has the last word.
  
  
  hence i defer to you, even if i happen to be the bob marley expert around here. case closed.

  I just finished  a relation.But in some way this makes me feel better.
