Wait a minute.........Sorry.....

So I had to stop laughing before I could start writing.  Someone at work told me about this and I really didn't believe it until I found it on WND.

http://www.wnd.com/news/article.asp?ARTICLE_ID=33896

World Net Daily is a Conservative blog-site that as a general rule I do not read.

Supposedly Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee Democrat from Texas stated their is not enough representation of blacks in hurricane names.  A quote from the article, you can't make this shit up:

"The congressional newspaper the Hill reported this week that Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee, D-Texas, feels that the current names are too "lily white," and is seeking to have better representation for names reflecting African-Americans and other ethnic groups."

What I found absolutely hilarious was Rush Limbaugh's take on this:

"There's discrimination and actually elected officials wandering around worried about the discrimination in the name of hurricanes. And hurricanes are destructive. You know no one very excited when a hurricane's heading their way, and yet here she is demanding that hurricanes be named after black people."

First of all are all blacks named after Africans?  NO!  Bill Cosby, Michael Jordan, Forest Whitaker....

It is hilarious just in its complete absurdity.

I read this sometime ago. I read WND but do not cite it. I prefer to cite AP, Reuters, WSJ, etc. just so I can be sure that libs do not have the biased source argument to toss at me. WSJ is conservative and pro-business, but it is of unquestionable reputation. I wish we had more publications like it.

If you've watched any commercials lately, white people are the idiots and suddenly all black people are smarter than Einstein and make sponsor-laden bright decisions. Lemmings anyone? I'm about to toss my wife's television in the street...
