A few weeks ago me and the missus decided to take a road trip just to guage the attitude of the nation so to speak (more on that on another post) we started in michigan, thru Ohio, then kentucky, tennesse, mississippi, alabama, lousiana then a much deserved break in the jazz city, now the last time i was in new orleans was 2 weeks pre-katrina, then 10 days after katrina with a international medical rescue team, since then we have not been back.....newsflash...the people are charming, polite full of fun, the food is better than ever and the jazz is still great, the place is still rocking and everyone had a smile and a good morning for you. so for all of you who were thinking of going back or going for the first time, make the trip, it is well worth it. on the way back we went thru mississippi again, then florida, georgia, south and north carolina, virginia, west verginina, pennslavania, new york and home, 9003km round trip, but like i said more on that later.
