Here's a recipe for the season. Hope it finds its' way to a few tables of the SC crew.
(It really is supposed to read ".....and Easy Pickles.")
1 Cup each of sliced celery, onion, red & green peppers
9 Cups of sliced cucumber
BRINE
1 Cup Vinegar
2 Cups Sugar (I substitute Splenda)
2 Tbsp Salt
1 Tsp Celery Salt
***NB....DO NOT BOIL BRINE
Simply mix the vegetables and pour the brine over them. They are ready to eat in 8 to 10 minutes.
In my personal version I add chopped garlic, pickling spice and fresh dill weed. You choose the quantities.
These are so simple to make and should come out crisp and fresh tasting. They keep several weeks refrigerated and it is just fine to add more ingredients as the supply goes down.
Let me know if you try them and how you like them.

We've tried something like this before, altering one ingredient for another or taking out what doesn't agree with us.  Good stuff!

Sleezy pickles??? Well, I love their name regardless of how they taste. SOOO good to see you here, writing about pickles or anything!

Oooh, yummy.  Botty, do you think I could substitute Splenda (lower carb) for the sugar?

    Nice to see you here, you handsome devil.  {{{hugs}}}

Sounds like something the Mr. would love, as he eats cucumbers and pickles like they were "going out of style" as my mother would say.  I like the idea of keeping the jar going, adding things as needed.  Thanks for the sleazy tip and great to see you here!

Dear Mr 7...... ( AKA the one and only, fantastic lbnfo7)...
It just irks me.....
Greetings, my soulcast family. Many things have gone on since last i posted. Master and i are doing well, well kinda, Master got hurt near the end of October, so i have had to pull double duty to keep up on the all the work that needs to be done to keep...
We all have different points of view...it's a wonder we can ever relate...I've just had such a frustrating conversation with a friend..this friend feels everything is going just fine.

Not me...I'm miserable....things have changed...we used to...
What the hell is in all the bowls!...
