Don't get me wrong.

Doing personal hygiene, I mean keeping one's self clean is a fetish of mine.

I bet it is yours too..

What really sucks is the amount of time being done to complete the whole process of cleaning one's self. Have you ever wondered??

Since it's become a routine, time was never a question. But hey, when rushing, geez, time is the essence!

It takes one and a half hours for me to be completely ready to face the world.

A lot of time! :)

For me it takes as much time as I can brush my hair, brush my teeth, and make sure I don't stink. But I know what you mean. Some nights, when I come home very late and I have stuff I want to do, I find the whole shower and hair washing business an annoyance. I do it anyway because my wife will complain if I come to bed without having had a shower. I think I wouldn't like it so much either.

Some days I hate the time it takes too.  It probably takes me a good hour start to finish.

Ugh, I know!  While I wouldn't dream of just not cleaning myself up and all, I do hate how lengthy it can get sometimes.  I hate doing it in a hurry too, makes me wish there was some sort of special fast forward button for those times when I need to hurry but can't quite hurry fast enough, lol.  I mean, in the mornings before work it isn't so bad, I've got that routine down pat and I'm fairly low maintenance, so I can have myself ready to get out the door in roughly 20 minutes round trip (because I take my bath the night before, right before bed).  For other events, ugh, I'd have to mark myself at an hour and a half purely because it takes my hair so stinking long to dry after I've washed it (me and blow dryers do NOT get along, consider it 'hair murder' for me to use one because there's no way I'll look presentable if I do).

I hate having to take the time, but I feel so good afterward.

Lioness.....one hour and half each morning.....its a lot of time, girl...(you are like my daughter....lol.....).

I used to take this much time when i was younger......so i guess i perfectionated my beauty routine management now.....lol..

Let's see.....i get up of the bed and i can be out of the house in 40 minutes, and having even packed my lunch for the office.....

The trick is choosing your outfit the night before, down to the shoes and accessories.....
    .
And i hate showering in the morning.....yak....i like shower or wash my hair in the evening.....

For special occasions though.... i don't even set a time....lol....

I don't get that Ginger... I guess its me.  I could not go without a shower in the morning.  Perhaps the heat but then I like to have two showers sometimes.

Me I can be ready if I haven't washed my hair half an hour.  If I have washed my hair (its long) I takes another half an hour to dry it.

Lucy.....i like showering in the evening so i go to bed squickly clean.....in case there is some "action" between the sheet its nice to be smooth and silky ...;-p

And if i sleep alone ....well......its nice the same...

So in the morning i don't need a shower.....unless that above "action" had happened....;-D.....
In that case it really doesn't matter what time it is....and a shower becomes mandatory....lol......

I do wash myself in the morning but in the old fashion way....in the bathroom sink... using a cotton towel.....in this case i save a lot of water too....and i am known to be a freak fanatic about it...

Plus, i don't like my hair soon after the shampoo.....when i wash them in the evening the morning after they behave alot better.....

gingerbear, I am usually the opposite about shampooing. My hair always gets some "shape" to it after sleeping on it but I like the part about going to bed squeaky clean even though there is not much or any action happening these days except for a 14-month year old who rolls around everywhere in his sleep and sometimes puts a foot in my face. For hot sweaty nights I do like to rinse off in cold water in the morning though. I am sure, by the way, you have your beauty routine down pat. From what I have seen you don't need to do anything to look good for the coming day but for going out at least putting on clothes would help.

Well...the last post was just me rambling and lamenting a bit.

Thanks everyone for your comments and suggestions. I like the idea of a supportive community.

Tomorrow, I will be turning 26 years old. I don't want to say 26 flat out, but instead it is 25 plus 1. I thought it would sound catchy. If it doesn't let me know....
