But as foolish as I believed her actions to be, I couldn't help but wonder about the why behind them. Maybe her house was in foreclosure, perhaps she needed groceries or car repair money. She was fortunate that she was merely banned from the premises and not facing arrest.
It is hard to say what I might do if I were incredibly desperate, so who am I to judge? I'm certainly not without sin.
I'm sure there are monetary motivations behind her actions, but I would also like to believe that she was perhaps supporting our right to self-medicate (though that right has been eroded since the end of the 1800s).
If it wasn't for marijuana, California would be in worse shape than they are now (if that could be believed). It's a multi-billion dollar industry out there now.
Personally, I'm all for total and complete decriminalization. It's not the FedGov's job to tell people what they can and cannot put in their body. Sure, there will be a spike in usage, but it'll plateau off. Besides, whether it's legal or not, people who won't do them won't do them. Alcohol's legal but I don't drink.
Also, do you think it's odd that they protect some species of animals and flora while trying to eradicate others? There's a strange sense of morality and conflict in the conservation and eco-movement that I haven't been able to come to terms with. It's a tricky issue.
Freeze dried urine....always more than one way to skin a cat, I guess. You learn something new every day! I don't indulge anymore, but the last time I did on a lark, I had a job pee test a few days later out of the blue. I drank so much water that my urine was clear as drinking water. I told the lady that I was worried that I wouldn't be able to pee, so I just drank too much water. I got the job, btw.
