Rob Cottingham, of ReadWriteWeb has commented about SEO becoming bland and uniform stating that, “It’s happening to more and more of the blogs I read: the personality, quirkiness and unique voice that once made them so appealing to me are fading. In their place, an SEO-driven uniformity that puts keyword placement ahead of pretty much everything.” Only bland, inattentive SEO companies put out bland content.
Any SEO company that’s worth anything understands the worth of creativity. What’s the worth of a campaign if it blends into everything else out there? A key idea to SEO is making a page or product stand out from the rest. Uniqueness is key while at the same time weaving in popular search terms. Just like duplicate content, duplicate SEO is pointless and detracts from any campaign. A good SEO campaign will be unique, and include appealing ideas and content. Don’t be fooled by bigger bloggers. Search Engine Optimization does not have to be bland. Look for a quality company and you’ll get quality SEO.

Google Advertising in Print?
Advertising products and services throughout drastically different markets call for different tactics. This is a basic test question in Marketing 101. But that still doesn’t lessen the awkwardness of a company like Google who advertised its online search in India via ink-to-paper newspaper adverts. Officially Google India, the company reportedly ordered targeted newspaper advertisements to appear in a variety of supplements in The Times Of India, a leading English-language daily in the country.
Apparently, this is not the first time that Google India has used this form of communication. A print campaign appeared back in November 2008, promoting their SMS search service. Google believes that this makes sense because the markets throughout India are emerging, and the best way to communicate to the most people is through their current source of information, the newspaper. In order for them to grow in these emerging markets, they may have to help grow the market itself. As Google has grows this enormous, emerging market, SEO will grow along with it.
