In the past, when I was still single and carefree, I've applied for overseas training or seminar slots from our HRMO, and it was always declined.

I got a surprise call from her staff 2 weeks ago, asking me if I'd consider taking a training in Australia. I hesitated at first because I was thinking about my baby. But when I learned it would take only for a month, I immediately agreed. But first, I had to take the qualifying exams.

The other day, Tuesday, I was in our central office to take the exam. I didn't have much time to prepare. It was a tough one, but among the two of us who took it, I was lucky to pass.

This means that if I pass the medical exams and complete all the requirements, I'd be heading to Australia!!! I am sooooo excited!

The seminar's gonna be in October, I'd have much time to prepare. ;)

congrats! I honestly never had the same dreams of going abroad before. I said to myself, if I can't make it here, then what assurance do i have that I'll make it abroad. So, I do what I can here.

but now I want to go abroad. And is looking for ways to get there as early as possible. Hmm. It's something else. :)

Way cool!  You should talk with our Lucytorial and get tips on being a guest in her lovely country.  Or uniquely- ironic who got to go there to visit her.  Good luck on the medical exams and requirements!  I was able to travel overseas a bit back in the day and wish I could do it again.  I came this close to living in Saudi Arabia---but plans changed.  I was all set with the medical part and lectures on the rules, and now am kind of glad it didn't pan out.

    Sorry, I get carried away.....

Good luck and hope to hear about it when you are able to post more!

    Hi & congrats to you.
I just signed up for this site and am trying to figure out how more than one person can have the same username?  I checked the help page but saw nothing about this.

Hi bhalah, sometimes, the good things come for a price, I hope I am making the right decision. Thanks.

Hi queen, magpopost ako for sure. :)

You know ella, we have the same thinking (surpise!lol) about staying put in the Philippines. I cannot imagine myself detached from this place and its people. But change is inevitable, and we must welcome it with open arms. So, goodluck to you!

Many many thanks secret, psyche-ed and cuppajava!

Howdy Unicorn, nope, I am a civilian personnel. But I would be having some companions from the military, I was told.

Hegemone, my excitement cannot be contained. :)

Hi unique, the seminar would be taking place in Canberra.

Oh ginger, you had me nodding on your statement. I know you are a jet setter :D

I honestly am nervous, having to travel on my own fraggles, but it is part of the fun.

*sheesh* had to cut this short for I was called. Be right back!

Sure will, wombat. I hope to get back here in one piece. LOL I really have high hopes of passing my medical exams.  Thanks, and will sure write about it.

Hi phoeby, it would be in Canberra City. She's turning 7 months on August.

Paper and scipio, thank you for the kind words! :)

lioness, I really have not thought that this username would be quite popular here (hehe). There's three of us now using it. one is lionesss, and now you, lioness, and myself Lioness. This does not pose any problem to me, just hope it won't confuse other readers. ;)
