I just blocked my first user because they placed spam on my blog and on a number of others that I have read this morning.
I intend to keep them blocked for roughly 24 hours, at which time I will unblock them. If they choose to repeat this and put another plea for people to go to their blog, with complete disregard for the content & context of my blog, I will make the ban permanent.
So far this morning I've lost count of the number of times I've come across the following post

The bottom line is that the above is rude. You don't go to other peoples blogs with post cut & paste messages for their readers to come to your blog. Especially when you have never even posted a real comment to that persons blog to begin with, much less asked if it was ok for you to promote yourself!
It's akin to graffiti, and will be treated as such.

Yeah he also just posted an apology on one of my random blogs today, aimed ad you, SW, and me (cause yall had already blocked him). But it was rambling, and far less than apologetic. So I deleted and blocked.
