Sweetie and I had decided to go see the "Lords of the Samurai" exhibit at the Asian Art Museum in SF friday when she got in. Last year we had tried to see the Anime exhibit, but missed it by a few days, so this time we planned to go right away. I didn't get nearly as lost on the way there as I usually do :)
We bought tickets and before going into the exhibit (which prohibited flash photography and was set in a very dark room) we went to this hands on exhibit. To our delight there were kimonos to dress up in and a staged house to play in. I know, I'm too old to be a kid, but when has that ever stopped me?!! We dressed up and took a few pictures.
It's all about having the right clothes. Right? I mean, you can't be a bad ass wearing the wrong outfit.
I think this outfit puts me in charge or something.
We enjoyed the exhibit and then we treated ourselves to lunch in the Cafe. This place has food that is better than most restaurants and the best Pearl Jasmine tea that we've ever tasted. Refueled, we finished off the rest of the museum, enjoyed the native american dancers outside the museum and came home to rest up for our evening walk to the fru fru grocery store for one of their monster cookies.
