Well, I have no idea what I'm doing with a blog - but I thought I would see what it's all about. I'm guessing it's sort of like an online journal. Anyone/everyone can read it? Watching the Home Run Derby tonight, sitting here thinking that there must be something better I could be doing with my time.  While my daughter is in bed and my husband is doing work on his laptop, I sit here a bit bored. Surfing the internet looking for interesting websites. 

 

My daughter is 7 months old and is growing really fast! I'm breastfeeding and pumping while I'm at work. She goes to my mother's house while I work.  Which is awesome that I don't have to put her in day-care.  I'm sure there are plenty of wonderful day-cares out there but I am not ready to put her in one this young.  This past year, several babies/toddlers have died from day-care neglegence. It is shocking! I've noticed a dip in my milk supply which has got me pretty frustrated. I've been pumping like every two hours trying to get my supply up.  And pumping after feedings as well.  I started taking Fenugreek, herbal suplement, but it hasn't really done a whole lot.  I have to find something else that is going to help. 

 

This weekend we go on our first road trip with the baby. Granted we are only going on a 4-hour trip, it's still the longest we've been on the road with her.  My sister is coming into town and driving with us - so we'll have some extra help. Should be a fun weekend. My cousin is getting married and it's going to be a big family reunion basically. We are all spread out so much that we don't get to see each other often.  I'm looking forward to a weekend away from the house and away from the dogs and from the daily grind.  I feel like every day is the same... wake, eat, baby wakes, feed baby, pump, play, put baby down for nap, clean house, work from home, clean, baby wakes, feed baby, pump, play, put baby down for nap, clean house..... and so on.  I love being home with my baby - I just don't love working from home all that much. It makes me feel obligated to be "logged in" all day. When really, I could handle just being logged in for an hour and get everything done that needs to be done.

 

Ok - well I am pooped for the night.  Need to pump and then get some sleep. I'll be up in a few short hours for the baby again! :) I love being a mom!
