George Dubya Bush may have lied in the interest of national security and Bill (BJ) Clinton may have lied to save his skin due to his sexual antics, but, at least, they did not lie about where they met their wives, as far as I know.

Yesterday, on the Laura Ingraham radio show, she played a recent recording of our trainee president telling some gathering (maybe a graduation ceremony) that he met his wife while in school. However, according to Wikipedia, Mr. Borax met Ms. Borax when they were working at a law firm.

In June 1989, Obama met Michelle Robinson when he was employed as a summer associate at the Chicago law firm of Sidley Austin.

If the guy is willing to lie about something that small to get group approval, just think of the other whoppers he must be spouting all the time. I suppose, by now, you must be coming to that conclusion on your own.

If Obama lied about that it pales alongside lying to start a major war.

It also pales alongside Samuel Alito blatantly lying to the judicial committee, congress, and the American people to serve his own interests to be appointed to the Supreme Court, of all things.
  • kevinunknown said on Jul 09, 2009....

Wikipedia is not a very reliable source because it is open to editing by just about anyone so I wouldn’t be using that as proof he has lied. However more importantly than that you think that lying about how you met your wife is a bigger lie than ones sexual antics or lying about national security. Get real and stop trying to dig up dirt on the guy.

  • SeanRenaud said on Jul 09, 2009....
That's an interesting lie.  I trust Wiki.  However even your quote is that he was a summer associate, which implies he was probably interning during school.  But whatever Obama is a liar.  We already knew that he's a politician.  The question is if he's lying about important things (he is) and how often.
  • ALIENated said on Jul 09, 2009....

My point about Bush and Clinton is that they at least had an excuse. OhBummer evidently lies for no good reason at all. Of course, that is just the tip of the iceberg. He also lies about the stimulus working, creating jobs, blah blah blah. Republicans are about to introduce a bill (Repeal Obama's Unsustainable Budget Act, or something like that) to stop any more of the stimulus money being spent, if they can even figure out where it is. There is also supposedly evidence that counties that voted for OhBummer are getting about twice as much money as the counties that did not vote for him. Skunky Democrats at it again.

  • stopmediabias said on Jul 09, 2009....
It is like Hillary having to take cover from sniper fire, these people don't even realize they are telling lies.  President Obama's Cairo speech is filled with either whoppers or complete ignorance.  I find it difficult to believe a Harvard Law Professor is that ignornant.  And it pales alongside Republicans and Democrats in Congress who voted for military action in Iraq and lied to make it happen.  Or the weak Democrats who tried to destroy Samuel Alito and John Roberts with smears and propaganda.  Lets not just ask them tough questions, lets make their wives cry! :>
  • SeanRenaud said on Jul 09, 2009....

My point is that youre entire point becomes invalid if he MET his wife while he was in school.  As any college student can tell you being in school is a period of time NOT A LOCATION.  If my sister meets someone right now while she is doing Teachers Across America she still met them WHILE she was in school.  You're grasping at straws so small that they can hardly be seen.

    Hillary lied about Sniper Fire.

Oh and yeah Dems are doing the right thing in trying to finish off Republicanism while it's down and out.  Republicans are doing nothing to try to survive which is fine.  It'll make for a fucked up ten fifteen years but other than that it'll be good.

  • ALIENated said on Jul 09, 2009....

I cannot agree with your last statement. Plus, I do not think Republicans will have to do much to get rid of this bunch. The Republicans may just be sitting back and letting them hang themselves with lies and false promises, higher taxes, and the whole Democrat experience -- out and out stupidity. A senator was talking to Laura Ingraham (yes, I have abandoned semi-liberal Dennis Miller) on her radio show today. She asked what it was like in the senate these days. He said it is Orwellian. The Democrats say all the right things and then do something totally different. Absolute power corrupts absolutely. And Obama's quote made it pretty obvious that he was saying they met AT school, not while in school. Plus, she was not in school. He could have meant it the way you said ... during his school days. As I listened to him on the recording, it sounded pretty much like he was lying just to identify with his audience.

  • UnicornForm said on Jul 09, 2009....
Honestly, I dont see how this may be a surprise to anyone.
  • ALIENated said on Jul 10, 2009....

Honestly, it is not a surprise. I think even Democrats know their guys stretch the truth at every opportunity in order to "fit in" and be politically correct. Borax lying about the way he met his wife is more weird than anything. And it is kind of a human nature thing. Most people embellish their story to endear themselves to others. I also heard that Al Sharpton really put both feet in his big mouth and danced around at Michael Jackson's funeral (memorial, death spectacular, or whatever it was called). He claimed that Michael is reponsible for the careers of all famous black people like Tiger Woods, Oprah, etc. He may have opened some doors, but he was NOT responsible for the success of every other black person alive today. (He had the best selling album of all time most likely because there are more people around to buy them.) People who like to hear their own voice will say about anything to get people to listen to them, I suppose. I just wish the mainstream media would analyze every word Democrats say the way they analyze and criticize ever word Republicans say and some they do not say.

Usually your rants are pretty comically, this is beginning to stretch it just a bit. It's not that you haven't said worse, but this is kind of a who cares moment.Your judgments and broad sweeping generalizations of race and religion are close minded at best.

I read your blogs because even though I rarely agree with most things you blog about.  I generally can take a moment and say I guess I can see how he could feel that way, but as of recently your points are further diluted and  come off as looking some where to lay blame.

it's kind of fun to listen to someone that stay on one side of the fence refusing to even acknowledge there even is another side out there.  Even as I'm typing this, I full well and expect you to defend your position, not because you are right, but rather because on online blogs it's mostly about one-ups-manship, rather than trying to see the other persons side or point of view.

  • ALIENated said on Jul 10, 2009....

That is the point (who cares moment). Our trainee president could suddenly say he was born in Red China and who would care? The point is also that the mainstream media would make sure something like this was on the evening news if it was George Dubya Bush. Comics made fun of Reagan because he said "well" once too often or shook his head when the spoke. Bush could misquote some old saying and that is all the media heard, not the thought he was trying to convey. Either Borax does not remember how he met his wife or he was telling a lie to endear his audience. Yes, who cares. I hope he can remember how to push that big red button if he needs to. I do not like Borax and what he stands for and you probably did not like Bush and what he stood for. Who cares? I not only see the other side's point of view, I used to be on the other side ... before wackos took it over.

  • Devin23 said on Jul 11, 2009....
You, on the otherside.  I'm not saying that I don't think it is possible, but the other side isn't as judgemental of other religions and certainly not gay Americans.(not that I have a dog in either of those fights.)  What changed for you then to make you take such a hard stance against other groups that aren't christians or heterosexual?  I mean last time I checked the score cards there were just as many bad guys in heterosexual christians as anyone else if not more being that it is the dominant group across the earth.

I know you like to take use the slippery slope argument that if you allow one perversion. We will fall into the abyss of child molesters being allowed to run rampant, but lets pretend thats not a viable or even on the table. That would be a huge social swing in our social structure .  I'm not saying that it couldn't happen, but the conditions necessary for something like that to happen would have to be right.  Hence that makes it a slippery slope argument and it holds very little water.

What changed it for you?  Bible? You saw less hypocrisy on the side of republicans? I guess I'm just trying to understand.

What did Bush stand for also if you get a moment?  You mentioned being conservative and I don't recall Bush being so conservative.

Or he misworded it and should have said I met her WHILE I was in school rather than on school grounds.  Sheesh for a guy who supports a president who was doing Mission Accomplished Photo Ops six months into a six year war you sure are hypercritical of and willing to quote Wiki as God just to make a man look bad.

Seriously THIS is why the Republicans are going to get stomped again in 2010.  Because you guys are just picking and picking and not even making inteligent arguments (and they are there to be made.)  Funny thing is I'M THE ONE MAKING MOST OF THEM.

  • kevinunknown said on Jul 11, 2009....

Sean- thank you I made a very similar point right at the start of this whole blog. It’s just stupid next they’ll be saying he should be impeached because he lied about how much toilet paper he uses. If the republicans want to win the next election they have to come up with better stuff than this

  • SeanRenaud said on Jul 11, 2009....

And the thing is I want them to at least balance the House and the Senate (or win them) in 2010.  If Clinton taught us anything it's that a Dem President with a Republican Congress seems to be rather ideal.  Only a handfull of truly bad things came from that bunch.  Granted one of them caused the problem we're having now but still.

The only somewhat inteligent thing I've seen was the quiet retiring of Sarah Palin.

  • ALIENated said on Jul 11, 2009....

Let us backtrack to my original post, above. I was repeating what I heard on the Laura Ingraham radio show several days ago. I think some of the shows like hers thrive on pointing out these mundane things, mainly to show the mainstream media how they act when a Republican is president. Democrats just do not get it. It is just some of your own medicine. For years Hollywood movies, TV, radio, newspapers (firmly in the Democrat's back pocket and most of them Democrats themselves) have openly made fun of the least little thing a Republican does. Probably starting with Rush Limbaugh, the tables have turned. Now there are people around (mostly on AM conservative talk radio shows and the internet) that point out every little mundane thing Democrats say and do. But somehow, when conservatives / Republicans do it, it is all wrong and stupid.

I grew up in a mostly Democrat family because Democrats used to be mainly working people and Republicans were rich fat cats. However, both were fairly religious Christian or Jewish people. At some point conservatives and religious people (including me) moved to the Republican party when the Democrat party turned to the dark side and started embracing homos, abortionists, yadda, yadda, yadda. Many Democrats (like some of my extended family members) think the Democrat party still stands for what it did decades ago whereas it actually stands for socialism, atheism, perversion, abortion, illegal immigration, you name it. And I do not defend George Dubya Bush. In general, he did little of what he promised to do because he was broadsided by the terrorist attacks of 9/11 and became obsessed with that. And that caused him to compromise way too much with the Democrats (like on amnesty for illegal immigrants) instead of acting like a conservative. His pig headedness to keep us free from terrorism and clean up the mess in the Middle Eash caused him not to act like an ideal Republican in my book.

  • kevinunknown said on Jul 12, 2009....

Alien- I totally understand why you don’t support the democrats even though I do support them I really liked the way you put that argument forward even though I disagree with you I can understand why you have moved away from the democrats on the views on abortion. And although i think this is a very minor lie, if it’s even a lie i also get your point about how it’s the Republicans giving the democrats some of their own medicine however i think they should focus more on politics than petty things like that.

  • ALIENated said on Jul 12, 2009....

I feel the same about most of the mainstream liberal media in regards to Republicans. A perfect example is the Republican that bumped someone's foot in the public restroom (his name really never registered with me). Barney Franks has homo relations with people and you hear little about it. The Republican senator bumps someone's foot and it is a national scandal. Liberals/Democrats think anything goes, they can say whatever they want about conservatives/Republicans. Now that the tables have turned, leftists do not want to hear it.

  • Devin23 said on Jul 12, 2009....
Do feel that the conservative media provides a fair light on the things they cover?
  • SeanRenaud said on Jul 12, 2009....

Democrats never stood by not being gay, they advocate gay rights.  So yeah a Democrate butt fucking someone isn't a big deal.  Republicans who at every turn make sure to keep homosexuals from being legitimized (to use your words) turning out to be gay kinda hypocritical.

  • javadewd said on Jul 13, 2009....
Speaking of "Mission Accomplished," the oreo express is now claiming that the stimulus is a success. A large majority (most if not all) are either saying it is way too soon to say either way or "oh, hell no." I guess Bush set the bar so low that now BO wants to see if he can successfully break through that rock layer and dig a little deeper?
  • curmudgeon said on Jul 13, 2009....
I have to say whatever to this one. This lie pales in comparison to the lie published just today: http://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2009/jul/13/obama-admin-health-care-green-jobs-growing/

    Basically
it's a preview of some report that says health care and so-called green jobs are on the rise - even as unemployment is increasing, as increasing numbers of people are losing their homes, and as our global creditors are blanching at our now one trillion dollar deficit.

Note that this preview article only cites the government report, not any of the "research" it might be based on.

Obama is having his henchpeople (as we do not wish to leave Obama's female propagandistas out, we simply MUST use inclusive language here) lie for him about the trouble we're in while he's off traipsing around Africa doing more useless photo ops.

Yes, indeed, keep on blaming Bush - this will surely be of comfort to the fools who elected Obama after China finally smartens up and quits lending us money, and every other developed nation in the world switches to the Euro as a backup currency.
  • SeanRenaud said on Jul 13, 2009....

While it is clearly early to start claiming that the stimulus package has worked its equally early to call it a failure which none of you are shy about.

As far as China bailing on us they would be absolutely insane to stop supporting us.  It's possible they never should have started but that ship has sailed.  They yank the chain and call there debt.  We respond we can't pay.  They through a hissy fit, at the same time America, the place where all that cheap Chinese shit gets sold stops buying it.  We got into bed a long time ago and China isn't gonna get out now.

  • javadewd said on Jul 14, 2009....
Ah, and as the cheap lying whore, America will get slapped around by the short dick. Lovely.
  • stopmediabias said on Jul 14, 2009....

Gay rights.  For the life of me I don't understand this.  Gays have just as many rights as everyone else.  There is a basic set of rules that make up right and wrong and legitimizing something that is universally abnormal is bad for society.

The stimulus is not working and our President should not be saying that it is.  We are allowed to say it is not working this early because of the rush to pass it.  Do you remember crisis into castastrophe?

  • SeanRenaud said on Jul 14, 2009....

Depends.  Do you remember who was president at the time?

Also Gays don't have the same rights but that's another issue entirely.

  • ALIENated said on Jul 14, 2009....

God I am tired of hearing about homos and their rights. Homos and abortionists have helped to tear this country down the middle. We now have moral people battling politically correct people (and most of them do not even believe what they are standing for). We need to reclassify homosexuality as a mental disorder (which it usually is) and get homos back on the psychiatrist's couch and get them cured. And everyone claiming to be a homo should have to prove it. I swear there are people now claiming to be homos just to get extra attention and to cover up some other weird mental disorder they have. I was recently listening to a lesbian I know talking about her latest lover who has been married and has a kid (or maybe some kids). I could have analyzed that one myself. The lady was married, her husband did her wrong, and she has given up on men. I know other women who have given up on men, but they do not run out and become lesbians. I bet she had trouble with her father as well. Or maybe her mother. I am no shrink so I really do not know how all that plays out. Think about it. You know you have thought the same thing.

  • SeanRenaud said on Jul 14, 2009....

I have.  In fact in one of my early posts I asked if it could be charachterized as a disease.  I would go so far as to say I agree with you that it is.  But that doesn't mean I believe in leper colonies or in forced sterlization for people with deformaties.

Thing is you (the Right) can live up to the promise of AMERICA and treat all human beings equal.  With the exception of when it hurts other people and then the left can jettison some of this flotsam they have accumulated.

  • ALIENated said on Jul 14, 2009....

There is treating people equal and then there is going overboard. Take the former Miss California. She spoke her mind, her opinion, and she was ruthlessly attacked day after day, for stating her opinion. That is wrong. How is that treating her equally? Homos are now running amok in my opinion, getting special favors because they are special, when actually they are not. If any other group popped up and whined as insessantly as homos do, everyone would be throwing rotten eggs at them. It is just getting down right ridiculous that our country is going down the tubes because a small segment of our citizens want to engage in disgusting, perverted acts and they want us to approve of it, or else. Pretty much everyone in our society has bowed to the law and ignore their moral beliefs, but that is never enough. And, you know what. Nothing will ever be enough. If homos manage to redefine marriage, then there will be the next thing because they will always know what they are doing is immoral, sinful, and perverted, and no law that is passed will ever change that.

  • curmudgeon said on Jul 15, 2009....
China only has to play with us so long as we're profitable partners. The minute other customers pose a better credit risk, they will call in their chits and take off. They are going around the world securing iron ore and oil deals, and have suggested that a backup currency other than the dollar (such as the euro) be used, or an entirely new investment currency be created. This suggests a lack of confidence in the US. A devaluation of the dollar as part of Obama's spending policies (plus severely increasing taxation, thus hampering investment and innovation) will further erode that confidence.

If Obama continues down this mindless path, it will only be a matter of time before China looks elsewhere for "greener" markets.

I'm sorry, but do gays have something to do with the stimulus not working or is SeanRenaud hopelessly trying to change the subject again in order to misdirect everybody from seeing that he actually has no point again?
  • ALIENated said on Jul 15, 2009....

He said that was another issue entirely. I am afraid I am the one that went off about it. So back to Big BroBama and the house of cards.

  • SeanRenaud said on Jul 15, 2009....

I'm sorry does the stimulus package have ANYTHING to do with the actual point of the post?

If we are sticking to the subject we've pretty much concluded that either Obama is such a habitiual liar that he lies simply to lie.  Where'd you meet your wife?  While on Vacation in Tahiti.

Or Obama mis=spoke because he did meet here while he was interning so he was basically in school at the time and wast treating school as many people do as a time period rather than a physical location.

Or there is the Rush Limbaugh answer.  Obama does was the teleprompter says and if the teleprompter is wrong he'll be wrong as well.

Pick one, end discussion.  I find the latter two to be the most likely.

  • ALIENated said on Jul 15, 2009....

My conclusion would be that he is a typical Democrat similar to Bill (BJ) Clinton. He says whatever sounds good to the group he is with even if it is a lie.

  • ALIENated said on Jul 16, 2009....

  • javadewd said on Jul 16, 2009....
Oh, come on, any idiot knows that the whole "gay rights" thing has nothing to do with gays. Most homos just want to be left alone. The whole 'homo advocate' topic is just another way for the secular progressives to exploit another 'minority.' It doesn't benefit gays at all, only a progressive agenda. It only puts gays under greater scrutiny while shrouding the progressives in obscurity while they push for ways to justify their actions.

By comparison, if I wanted to live a lifestyle of worshiping toasters made of polished nickle and walking around with my whole body covered in Mazola, I'm sure the damn progressives would find a way to exploit me, too. I'd be special. I'd make up less than 2% of the overall population that had some psychological or genetic or other sort of defect (spiritual, mental, social) and like all big dumb animals, I'd need their special protection.

    Ask SeanRenaud, I think he falls under this category most days... {Place rim shot here.}

  • javadewd said on Jul 17, 2009....
Agree totally with the latter, but I think I can speak for many a person who heard what they could not decipher as noises relating to such an act and accidentally walked in on their parents... Brrr... Still trying to erase that snap-shot from my mind!!

I'm assuming you meant by 'well raised' that they shouldn't walk into a room with a closed door, occupied by their parents, without knocking and not some crazy notion that children should just accept adult-oriented kinkiness... Right?
  • SeanRenaud said on Jul 17, 2009....

It's not about kinkiness.  It's about the fact that we have to TEACH our children to be ashamed of their bodies.  It's not something that comes naturally.  Now the bottom line is you should knock first and really parents should be keeping the noisy sex to a minimum while there are kidlets about.

Truth is that children basically fall in two categories.  Kids who are two young to know what's going on and thus wouldn't be damaged and those who are old enough and would immediately flee the room.
