Games, whether it's a console(Ps2, Xbox) or the computer, nowadays the market is flooded by these so called games on the shelves.
I'd like to state why I like playing games. Now sometimes I would sit in front of the TV for hours and do nothing but watch and move my fingers about on my PS2 joystick. Sometimes this really iritates my mum and she starts screaming and all at me. There are many type of games out there and there are those that I like and some I hate. The ones I hate are the mindless types where you just kill, kill... and kill somemore mindlessly with a lousy reason to justify your actions in the game not to mention the incredibly LOUSY story that comes with it. Now the ones I really like are the ones with good story and sometimes acting.
If I had mention a few good games, that'd be Kingdom Hearts I & II, Metal Gear Solid Series, Xenosaga series, Final Fantasy series starting from VII. Now as to the reason I actually play, before I knew games I'm a heavy reader, I'd read anything from Kiddies story books, novels to Quantum Physics and metallurgy. My favourite, novels.
So the actual reason I am into games is because I like watching how the story evolves right before my eyes due to my actions and learn more about the World by talking to people in the game or reading some stuff in the game's library. It's really fun, it's like reading a fully interactive novel that response to your actions and that is what I'm into.
Despite many games out there, I only actually play a selected few only based on reviews and popularity. Unfortunately for me, my parents cannot see it the way I view at games.
