Yes, the 4th of July is my favorite holiday......well, that isn't a religious holiday anyway.
 
You can't beat this one with a stick.  Summertime, cookouts, fireworks, family, friends - what a great day!  And no present-buying guilt to boot!  Who would've guessed it could be so much fun?  I simply love it!
 
No time for a long speech.  Scooter Bug has a baseball game this morning (he made the local paper from last night's game so gotta buy a paper too) and we have a traditional cookout with some friends this afternoon.  It will be a typical southern, redneck cookout!  ha ha!

    First of all, let me thank you for the happy fourth. We usually go to my hometown fireworks display and the home there is by the river and the display is across the river - ringside seat. But its been raining for days with no sign of let up, so I'm grilling hamburgers and we'll sit in our front yard at home and watch them here.

    Happy 4th to you as well.  The tribe should be beginning to show up around here soon, then off the the ball field.  BBQ at John's late this afternoon then home again for relaxation in the back yard.  No pyrotechnics this year for me, I've seen all I have any desire to see by now.  Some of the clan will no doubt head out to the lake to watch this evening.

    Beyond, Hi!  I'm so glad you got my Happy 4th message!  Maybe the rain will leet up enough to see the fireworks on the river.  That sounds like it would be awesome!   I hate that it is raining there but hope you enjoy it all the same!  Hugs!

    Hege, Yes - no gift pressure!!!  I hate that guilt!  We lost our game but that's okay.  We had fun.  I hope your day turns out well also.
     
    Grapey, Crowns are political????  lol!  I'd just make everyone call me "Your Highness"..... oh wait, I already do that at preschool.  ha ha!   Got your burger - come eat it before it gets cold.
