We've got a busy day planned tomorrow so I doubt I'll be around here much at all. MAYBE a little in the morning, but that's only while we're eating breakfast and getting going after waking up. Then it's off to getting gas in my husband's truck, picking up whatever we're drinking and then whatever is going on at the farm. Supposedly people are supposed to get there at noon, their cousin is bringing a couple of extra four wheelers (yay, everybody who doesn't ride them gets left behind and all those who can will disappear ... i.e. my husband will disappear the whole time), the BBQ later in the day and the bonfire towards dark. My husband almost looked disappointed when I reminded him tonight that we would still have to go out and take care of my horse even though there was other stuff going on. After the vet consult today she's on Tucaprim (penicillin powder that goes in her grain, basically, since she doesn't take shots well) and I have to give the infected areas a betadyne bath every other day. At least all I'll have to do is give her the grain/meds and fly spray her tomorrow.
My husband annoyed me a little on that topic also because, see, the other idiots in with my horse have ruined the outter pen ... meaning that I have nowhere to pen my horse up at. So THAT means that I have to do all this stuff with her loose. No problem really because I can rub her down with the betadyne through the gate if needed, and I only need to step one or two steps through the gate to fly spray her, and he can hold the grain for her and keep her interested, instead of walking away or getting chased away, while I'm washing her down anyway so it works better that way really.
He kept insisting on putting the pen back together even though he didn't have the proper materials for it. I love how in a matter of five minutes of discussion on the topic he went from saying 'I'm not sure I've got enough wood or long enough nails.' to 'I have enough wood and plenty of nails.' I couldn't help but ask him 'So, how did this change in five minutes?' He didn't have anything to say, he knew he'd been caught getting frustrated and just trying to lie so he could get his way. Further, he wanted to call TFYO (and OFHG since they're a package deal) to help. No, I don't want them out in the pasture. OFHG is too afraid of the horses and TFYO doesn't listen to me about them and even when he does he questions me enough to piss me off. Generally he walks around in there doing whatever he wants as if he knows what he
's doing when he doesn't. My FIL actually sided with me there, saying that nothing pisses him off more than when people with no experience won't listen in reference to instruction on livestock.
Anyway, on to other things, we just got done watching The Punisher and I noticed something. Actually it made it very difficult to pay attention to getting caught up here ... but, Thomas Jane is incredibly HOT! Holy crap. I mean, look at this ...
I think I'll be sleeping pleasantly tonight. :-)
