    you are right...
..but somehow it got me..i don't know..maybe for 9/11? ....who knows....

    anyway, just in case...:-)

    Another option...

Run a good virus check on your comp gingersoul. Those damn emails anyway.

If you don't have a good one, AVG Free is awesome.

Bordy, thank you for the suggestion...
I do have some anti virus installed, maybe Norton?
Can i run AVG even if i have something else already on?

As you can see, I am at lost with basically everything connected to computer funtionality....

my system is crossing my fingers, hoping for the best....

I agree with all the others. It's a hoax. A while back I got one that claimed to be from Hotmail.com, telling me to send it on to other people. I contacted Hotmail and got a very quick, polite and detailed answer. It was a scam -- a chain letter -- highly illegal and potentially harmful and had nothing to do with them. I gave them the full 'reveal data' info so they could track who had most likely originally sent it.

Like Bordy says, download AVG Free anti-virus software from Grisoft -- and run it at once. They also have free anti-spyware called Ewido, which I downloaded a few days back. When I ran the scan, it picked up 29 tracking cookies (including one from 'googleadservices' -- whose dubious services I do not use), and my anti-spyware that costs money and 'protects my computer constantly' didn't find ANY of them!

Thanks for the warning. I'll pass it on.

Gingersoul: Yes, you can upload new anti-virus software even if you have Norton. Just install the new stuff and it'll run. It worked fine on my comp and I have Norton too. But Ewido is better IMveryHO.

Don't spread the hoax; always verify e-mails like this one at http://www.symantec.com/enterprise/security_response/threatexplorer/risks/hoaxes.jsp or http://hoaxbusters.ciac.org

Thank you guys for you advices...geez, if i am at lost.....

Whyc, could you explain me this too? What the heck means IMHO...noticed that some of you are using it often...you use it with a "very" too... :->

Just in case you get a real virus. you can go to http://www.f-secure.com and they will do a good online scan of your computer. You can also get a trial of their software free for 21 days. It's not the cheapest if you buy it. But probably the best. The firewall is good,it monitors what goes out as well as in. I had a trojan "phone" home and did a trace. I got him - well his IP. I reported him and he got in a little trouble for that. I had a virus a couple of days ago. I have f-scure firewall on my desktop, but only the anti-virus on my laptop. I use XP firewall on my laptop which is slightly useless - I also have a firewall in my router - still got through. But f-secure found and deleted it when I did a scan. I had one not long ago that actually disabled f-secure and then I had to do the online scan.

Ok, I just checked snopes virus alerts to see about this one. I won't bore you with the whole article but there are actually two viruses however they said:
Both trojans were easily detected and removed with updated virus protection software, and neither Osama message is circulating widely or poses much of a threat to PC users any more.

Any time you get a message like that you can check with snopes or one of the virus alert sites run by the major anti-virus companies like Norton or McAfee.

In general, as silverwhisper says, if you get an email telling you about it and asking you to pass it on, then it isn't likely to be accurite. I admit that in this case it was half accurite but normally it isn't even that. No company spreads warnings by sending emails and asking people to "pass them on" and so anything that comes that way is unofficial at best.
