Upon This Simple Page Tonight.

I sit here wanting to write

But the words have taken flight

 

So I look at fonts

Finding one I want

 

The words play with me

Still wanting to remain free

 

But I can be a little sly

As they pass by my mind’s eye

 

One, two, three in a line

Pretty soon I have a rhyme

 

I pull them to the page

Giving them center stage

 

Now they are stars in their own right

Upon this simple page tonight
