I just read that he had debts totaling over 400 million dollars. Enough said. Fucking asshole. I assume he liked his kids. He left them nothing but debts. That pisses me off. Well, not really, since he didn't do it to me, but it shows me that he was one fucking asshole. You don't even have to look any deeper. That's your proof positive.

Yeah, he was a pretty questionable guy as far as his personal life goes.  I think all the fame and glory went to his head and never quite got back out, which was a shame, especially for his children.

Yeah he planned to pay that off with his upcoming tour.. or maybe not.. I have been kind of ambivalent about being sad about him given his personal life and what we heard of it.. I just dont know.. but I guess he was a great artist.. whether or not he was a good person..

I don't know about him as a "good" person, I guess I mean asshole in a different way. Good vs evil isn't what I was driving at. I guess I define good in terms of whether he was kind or cruel to others, and I really don't know. Was he cruel to children, maybe, I have no way of knowing, maybe not. But the fact that he made an incredible amount of money and still managed to spend 400 million more than he made qualifies him as an asshole in my dictionary. I don't see him as intentionally cruel to anyone, but maybe he was utterly self centered which can also hurt people, don't know.

Sad to say Iffy but I see where you going with this and you might be right  on that note. It does take a careless person to have no forethought into how your kids might live with such debt. But we aren't prvy to all of the info yet. He could have seperated certain incomes and left the kids a sizable amount of money in a blind trust. Think about the fight that is about to occur over these kids due to the financial gains prospect.

On second thought perhaps he did know what he was doing and wanted someone who was  going to take them and care for them with genuine interest and perhaps he knew that no one besides his own mother would do that. Any way you hash it we were dealing with someone who didn't often deal with reality as we do and who probably thought on some level that he wouldn't die even though he foretold that he would. In other words he wasn't playing with a full deck. Not to take away from his musical and dance genius.

Just look at Dr.Choppa's interview."Michael asked him for a prescription. It was a pretty powerful narcotic. Have you seen your regular doctor? What has he said?
Michael had no answer and continued to ignore and change the subject or would refuse to dicuss it if people broach the subject of his dependency to prescrion drugs."

Choppa said no not wanting to risk his license probably but how many doctors including the dipstick that was in the room when he died said yes to his every whim just b/c he was Michael Jackson and lost their usual common sense where had it been you or I making these request they would have said HELL NO and would have went on and on about losing their license to practice for such a thing.

Or perhaps it wasn't a common sense issue but a GREED issue with the doctors that wouldn't say NO to this poor messed up man. And i'm including his plastic surgeons in this bunch.

I actually felt sorry for Michael. I mean the poor guy had no childhood and an abusive father. That can really mess a person up. I think he just wished he could go back in time and be a normal kid. But the fact that he couldn't do that drove him mad. I think it's kinda harsh to call the guy an asshole. I mean really look at all the debt an average American person leaves when they die. Granted its usually nowhere close to 400 million dollars but still...
  • lfbno7 said on Jun 28, 2009....
well i'm expressing my own opinion, and 400 million dollars of debt most definitely qualifies someone to be called an asshole. don't care about the rest. no further info needed. childhood, fuck it. whatever. not calling him evil. just telling the truth. the guy was an asshole.

As much airplay as he is getting right now, coupled with album sales....the estate should recoup those losses in no time......once upon a time MJ was a pretty shrewd businessman....didn't he own the rights to the beatles songs?

so many celebrities go bankrupt. there was a show on tv, a "where are they now" type of show, and one after another of them made millions and frittered it away on nonsense, hitting bottom. as someone who worked all his life to support a family and stay out of debt, i have no respect for these utter assholes. these brainless irresponsible dipsticks, these complete morons like michael jackson and all the rest. a person with no sense of financial responsibility is a child, a four year old, an idiot.

i'm nothing if not judgmental. being judgmental is considered a bad thing, and i'm proud to say i'm judgmental. without judgment, all are equal, the people who try and the people who don't, the people who sacrifice and the people who don't. without judgment, life is not worth living, it is pointless, since nothing is any better than anything else, and you may as well just fritter away all your money and everyone else's, live your life as selfishly as possible. in fact my enneagram type, type 1, is called the judge sometimes, and i think that's a good name for it.

Ifbno7. I dont know you. I just know what you commented on my blog. which was a completely self centered, down putting, destructive, and pointless, thing to say, and told me a little about you. and now reading this. From what I've gathered... you calling someone an asshole on the basis of money issues, is INCREDIBLY uninspired by any sort of thought. As I see it anyway. And I will safely say, I think -your- an asshole. You seem to just like making other people feel bad.
