Who's reading Balefish (8):
Ive been told I should write something. and finally, perhaps in an effort to fling off, the depressions that so solidly hold me; I am.

this is a character development if my main character in a thing I plan on doing called "Gravity". A writing based on a disturbing apocalyptic dream I once had. Be nice. its a rough. this includes quotes from the character as I plan him to be, and in parenthesis, are my own thoughts on beginning details of a character based largely on myself.

"Names Tisdale… but people call me Niko. Before you say anything, yes, I know it isn’t anything the same as Tisdale. My parents once told me that they had flipped a coin, to decide on my name. –Such is an omen of my own fate perhaps?- Between Nikolai, and Tisdale, the bloody coin chose Tisdale. I, however am equally as fond of the name “Tisdale”, as I am of the name, “Toad”. This being one option for my middle name. I dodged this bullet with a lucky flip to the tails side of the quarter. So, I’ve always gone by Niko. We make our own fates, as they say."

(chance rules, luck, c’est la vie. not dramatic, to the point. Always eats Mexican food over Italian food, but would eat Italian food over asian food anyday. Tisdale is an unexperienced, unemployed 21 year old, floating amidst the flotsam of modern society. He finds himself a niche in the coming gravity crisis. Always first in battle, necks always out, little care for his own safety)

“As I write this story out for you, you may expect that I, like so many story tellers before me, might exaggerate my deeds, enunciate my valor, capitalize on grand speeches. You would be wrong in this thinking. You might expect me to save every passerby in need of a hero. And you may very well be angry with me when I do not. I fear not your opinion though, I do not know you, therefore you mean little to me. The same as those people you may so strongly will me to help. You are but characters in a fictional book. Not literally of course. The very fact your reading this right now tells you that. But in my own mind…
well… shadows and dust.”

Wow, this was an incredible character development. I've always fallen short when it came to that. I can never create my character the way I want. This is an amazing character buildup though. Just the way this character is, it draws me in. I wanna read whatever you're going to do. This guy seems selfish in a way, yet he has a point to every reason. No matter how good or bad he treats something. Ha. This character is great. You did an amazing job!! And I hope I described him right; this was my idea of what I got. lol

Haha Im glad you like this character so much though I have to confess; this one was very easy...  It is... me. Mostly anyway. with some tweaks and changes. thank you for your compliments.

Oh...oh. I'm...I feel bad for saying what I said. I should of assumed just a little. Writers tend to insert a little, or a lot, of themselves in their characters. Anywho, you're welcome. =]

Having read 'Introduction" first I have already read most of this of course.  I do like your character development and the tools you use to create a backdrop.  You could certainly develop quite a back story from this  outline alone.

The character creation system allows for a great deal of character customization. Players are able to radically adjust height, weight and scale of various body parts (for example, creating a 4 ft. character with a giant head)....
